I'm gonna assume this is sarcastic, and if it is, lol. Define for me then the gestation period for an artist being inspired by another's art?
I mean, being inspired is one thing. Using a mega hyped album that was just released to get some spotlight on yourself is kinda weird? Idk, when i first read the headline my response was "already??" Just seemed off.
Don't see why they aren't allowed to be just as big of Brand New fans as all of us. If i had that dudes voice I'd be doing the same. If they were inserting that cover into a setlist already, different story.
Yeah its not like Mason is profiting from this cover. He is obviously a big Brand New fan and he always does acoustic covers of songs he likes. Seems like a weird thing to be bothered about honestly.
I wasn't necessarily bothered by it. I don't know anything about the band so it just took me by surprise and wasn't sure what the general rule is on things like this.
I'm making a joke about when Seether covered Thrice, and some posters were infuriated beyond belief. Apparently it broke "cover etiquette"
Oo really like this! @TROW fans, can you pls recommend 2 or 3 of their best tracks for a new fan. Haven't been able to get into this band yet. Thanks!
Didn't know cover etiquette was a thing lol. When anybody can throw a cover up on YouTube, have no problem with anybody that can actually do a song justice doing one. People actually put thought into whether it's too soon after a song came out to cover it? Lol who cares
