Oh, I know haha but a guy can dream. I’ve been to countless shows but being at this stupid little one still remains one of my favorite concert moments. The crowd all singing along at the end still gives me goosebumps over 20 years later:
Legendary! They just don’t make gigs like that anymore. The atmosphere back then had an entirely different vibe, something you don’t experience today.
Always felt like this band was way ahead of its time. Would have loved to hear how they evolved over the years if they had kept it together. I'd still be psyched for a reunion album.
I always thought the same as well. That first album was just insane for the time. That signature 00s post-hardcore sound with melodies for days.
I’d really only like new material from them if it pushes their abilities and breaks new ground. I don’t need a new TREOS album in 2024 unless it really fucking goes for it. The only band in this “scene” really pulling off that kind of wild ambition and conceptual creativity is Adjy.
Hard agree. The second half of One 4th of July has the scope and “epicness” that feels like it could be a TREOS song
I always felt that the Isles & Glaciers EP was the closest we got to a sequel to The Earth Sings material after the breakup
I get crazy excited every time I see this thread bumped. Hometown hero's for me, and some of the nicest dudes ever.
20 year shows make sense. Insane it’s been that long already. They always blew me away live, hoping we get something.
A woman on facebook posted today that she snuck in a snippet of one of their songs in a coke commercial she produced https://www.facebook.com/share/p/EmyLL2t4oSdDxq4r/?mibextid=K35XfP very random update but thought it was cool
Oh cool because missing out on the Turnover shows wasn’t enough for me today. But damn that would be so sick to go to.
I remember my high school crush handing me a burned copy of this. She wrote the tracklist list in the prettiest handwriting and to a 14 year old that was like the most butterfly inducing thing ever. 10/10 love this band and how much their active time meant to my adolescence. THAT SAID I will have a newborn during this time and likely can't go.
someone from TREOS, I don't remember who, graduated from my high school. when i was a freshman in 2004/2005, he came into our class to play some pre-BTHATS demos for our teacher. that's how I discovered them!
