Wrecked 'em? Damn near killed 'em!

Keeping my expectations relatively low in the hopes that they end up exceeding them and proving me wrong.

    D'oh! Prestigious

Are you saying once you're busy with something you can't sit down and write a few songs if you feel the inspiration coming? That's bleak ;d it might not be worth the hussle for them, it might not be wise draining any sort of a budget, but I don't think anybody's spare time is the worst offender (in other words - don't crush my dreams hah!)

Believe me, I want a fully active TREOS and a new album in the worst way! Haha Casey aside, I’m sure the rest of the band has come up with plenty of riffs lyrics or song ideas in their downtime

At this point, I'd be fine with a mostly studio band with or without Casey. I just need new music from them. I'm fine if they only do a few shows now and then that I'll probably never be able to see.

I have several vivid memories of that set. Assholes in the audience throwing CDs at them in the beginning of the set, Brendan’s voice being wrecked from the set they played a day or two before, Casey joining them for the last 3 songs, Ryan & Sal from Envy on the Coast joining the band during This Armistice, Nate and many people around me being in tears during Epilogue. Despite the short length, it was such a good set.

Been listening to Mi Fa Mi and I gotta admit it's grown on me the past however many years.

The Crop and the Pest has been playing in my head all day long. What a classic TREOS song.

That “Battle Hymn of the Republic” motif in the bridge is so goddamn good

Mi Fa Mi is better than BTHATS.

BTHATS was such a moment though that that coupled with not being a band too long after it's release keeps its it shadowed.

Ok fine I caved and after all these years ordered Mi Fa Mi on vinyl. Only right with the amount of time I've been listening to it on on Spotify to finally open it on wax....had an OG pressing of BTHATS and now this.

Swallow People Whole is such a slow-burn vibe with a tremendous pay-off by the time you hit the bridge and final chorus. Such a good song.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Crop and the Pest gang forever, absolutely masterful song

Went on a(nother) minor TREOS binge after the recent "news".

BTH is just a unique incredible, monumental, over the top ambitious, beautiful record.

TES is also great and covers a different space around the theme of misery, I just wish the production could have been a bit more fleshed out in and a bit less thin, closer to BTH, but that's part of what it makes it different. It's a heartbreaking record. By the time you get to Pale Blue Dot you are crushed and drifting in space, I couldn't put it down for years.

I think any sort of third act would be very welcome and trusting the creators, would be great even if significantly different from the first two.

Where did you get it? Discogs? I think I need this on vinyl now after all these years.

Yep, absolutely. Synapse is such a behemoth of a record, and Mi Fa Mi feels more grounded and relatable in tremendous ways that some of the more ambition of Synapse sort of prevented from breaking through.
