It's like someone put a county fair inside a convenience store. The home goods & merch section had me lured in more than the food.
Buc-ees is trying to build a store about 90 minutes from me and the residents are trying to fight it because it’s gonna destroy the entire community and make travel in that area a nightmare. I’m in Wisconsin and it’s interesting how many companies that used to be mostly in the south are expanding and have been popping up the last few years (not specific to Wisconsin, I’m sure other northern / eastern states are getting stores too)
I judge a company I am applying to a lot based on how people are dressed. In my experience the most professional legit places are business casual, the most unprofessional toxic places are where everyone is wearing suits and ties. If I look at a sales or customer service company's socials and I see a bunch of people wearing suits that is a red flag. The companies that are trying extra hard to look professional usually have something shady going on.
We only have to wear something with a collar and they prefer we only wear jeans on Friday but don’t really care.
My last job at the operations center for a legit huge global corporation it was polo or button up. They didn't care about jeans. Honestly though I wore t-shirts to work a lot and nobody said anything.
It’s nice for sure. Like tomorrow we get to wear anything Iowa or Iowa State related for saturdays game
I dress super casually 90% of the time. Many "professional" women's clothing doesn't have pockets and I need to be comfortable and that means pockets! I've acquired some decent nicer clothes with pockets over time but it's still way more rare than it should be. I often go into some sketchy places for work or dealing with sticky messy kids and I'm not trying to ruin my nice clothes. Sometimes people reeeeeally push it tho and I'm gonna need them to be a lil less casual so they don't ruin it for us all
My job is 100% casual which rocks. My bosses have also complemented my style too, which I guess is pretty cool lol
So i have no idea where to post this… For those that live in CA (don’t know how different other states are), I noticed on my vehicle registration paper under MO, for this year and the last two years (don’t have record of the 1st year) the letters are different. One says FH, one says EI and the other says GI. I tried looking it up and it doesn’t make sense to me nor did I find a good answer. Nothing has changed so I’m not sure why that did?
Wearing shorts in the office today because we're going to a baseball game this afternoon and I feel so awkward and naked.
I have an immensely bad habit of saving recipes for baked goods on Instagram but never making them. I’m pretty sure I have dozens of recipes for fall/holiday treats that I never get around to. Really wanna change that this year. Need to make tasty stuff
Saw a picture of myself today and I looked old. Not attaching judgement to that statement as a good or bad thing but it was just noticeable. like oh I'm an adult but not like... A young adult anymore. Wow.
The maga co workers I have keep showing how deep in the hateful cult they are. I can never wrap my head around how they can think the way they do. So much hate in their hearts!!
