I know what Fat Mike looks like but that’s never stopped my brain from picturing Guy Fieri whenever I hear NOFX

 

Apparently when I get home from work and immediately empty my stuff from my lunchbox into the dishwasher and put my shoes away instead of leaving them by the door and hang up my bag and keys and work lanyard in a designated spot, my house doesn't accumulate clutter as quickly. Who could have known?!

 

I always wanted to give the first Third Eye Blind album an honest chance, always told myself I would but never did. today I made good on that and I'm glad I did. it's pretty incredible

 

One of the best records ever! Part of me always wished Semi-charmed and Jumper were stand alone singles though with how overplayed they were. I skip those on every listen and it is still an incredible collection of 12 songs.

 

Yeah it is a really great album. Narcolepsy is my fave

 

The things some people put in their obituaries (or what family puts in it) are wild. Saw one today that said, “Maria loved Elvis, President Trump, and the Green Bay Packers”.

As if it’s not bad enough to include the Trump shout out at all, that was in the third paragraph before any mentioning of family and friends. Like what the fuck lol

Not sure how to handle / comprehend that Deftones, Hot Mulligan and Wolf Alice all have albums coming out tomorrow.

 

All the new Deftones album hype made me completely forget that there’s a new Superchunk album out today too. Damn

The other day I saw a guy tell a cop he dropped his pocket and the cop fell for it. Crazy.

 

Saw that Trump is/was making it illegal to burn the American flag and maybe I’m dumb/dense as shit but isn’t that already a thing? Like, aren’t there already laws (or maybe just rules?) about it not touching the ground, can’t stay up past sunset unless it has a light on it (is it afraid of the dark?) etc.? Could have sworn I remember reading something like that - at least for homeowners that have flag poles or the flag up somewhere on their property so kinda just assumed that burning the thing was a no no if it already had a bunch of requirements

 

I could be wrong but those are things you shouldn’t do out of respect not anything unlawful

 

They’re not laws, just a “flag code”. When I was in Boy Scouts, it was a whole thing. But it’s more of a “respect” thing and not actual laws to enforce.

A few weeks ago my nextdoor neighbor knocked on my door at like 8AM because she was out the night before, lost her phone, and needed an Uber to get to work because she woke up late. The Uber was $10 and she gave me a $20 bill so I didn't mind.

I talked to her today and she said she didn't remember that at all. She was still drunk lol
