Theoretically Americans backpacking across America in their youths should be a thing. Like taking a gap year to travel the country and experience all different state/regions food and culture, ect. it mostly isn't and kids just go to Europe instead because everything in this country is same now and regional character is nearly dead.
In high school when I would cheat on a test (usually a friend who had took it a few periods before me would text me the answers). I would always purposely mark at least two questions wrong to throw the teacher off my scent. I felt like the smartest 17 year old in the world for doing that even though I was too dumb to not cheat and I was settling on getting a B- on purpose lol
If someone asks me how my weekend went I feel like I have to say: well actually I saw a random YouTube video of Ashley Burch about anxiety and I became obsessed with her pants she was wearing it and wanted a pair myself. But I didn't remember who she was or the video so I googled all that and found it again, and thought surely the comments will be asking about her pants cause they're so cute. But actually nobody is even mentioning her cute pants. So then I started searching pants on Poshmark trying to find something similar and then couldn't so I watched the video again to try and see the label. And then I still never found a similar pair I like. But man I didnt have time to do anything I was just so busy!

Damn. That sounds rough. Hope you start feeling better soon. I had mine done like decade ago but I don't remember being down for more than a day or two. I always encourage people and tell them how quick and easy it all was, so I was just curious if it wasn't that way for you.
This probably applies to basically every time an animal/insect was first discovered but last night I camped with some from friends way out in the country and there were a billion fireflies around which was cool but I wonder how mind melting it would have been to be the first people to see them and wonder wtf they were seeing. I also have it on my list of things to Wikipedia / look up like a nerd because idk how fireflies work at all and that seems cool as shit and kinda wish more things randomly lit up lol
One of my cats, for whatever reason, loves being a scavenger. He’ll take random objects from around the house and place them somewhere else completely random. Sometimes a sock will show up in the living room. A few weeks ago, a dark chocolate bar from the kitchen made its way to my bedroom. But this morning right before I left for work, the bag of avocados I’m going through rn was laying right in the middle of the hallway. Like, how? Why?
