One time I was at the gas station and I saw a dude blasting Otis Redding's "Sittin on the Dock of The Bay" on his subwoofers like it was Trap. I still randomly think about how cool that dude was.
This has been on my mind a bit recently: There’s a big-ish coffee chain in my neck of the woods named Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Starbucks or Peet’s-esque coffee shop. Earlier this year they got viral because someone on TikTok ordered a customized drink from them which was an iced americano with vanilla, half and half and caramel drizzle. The very specific I thing about it is that they ordered the americano with no water, so it is basically just espresso, half and half and the syrups. They called it the “Dry Americano.” It got popular to the point where Coffee Bean essentially has it as a secret menu item now and even shared instructions on social on how to order one. This fall, they have an “pumpkin dry iced americano” on their seasonal menu where you can order it with half and half, or the milk of your choosing (which, I should add, is really fucking good). But here’s what I don’t get. If you’re getting a drink that’s espresso, milk and flavorings, isn’t that just a latte?… Americanos are just water and espresso. Take the water out of the equation and add milk and that’s not an americano, right? So why call it a “dry americano?” Idk why this is bothering me so much lol
My mom used to date a guy that would use heavy whipping cream as his creamer. I never knew you could do such thing
Lord have mercy. They’ve opened an all-you-can eat Mediterranean buffet up the street from me. I may not make it out alive
How do ethical vegans (the type that won't buy any animal based products at all, not only just for their own consumption) justify having pet cats? Unlike dogs who are omnivores like humans, cats are obligate carnivores meaning they need to eat meat to survive. To own a cat and not feed them a meat based diet is basically animal abuse.
Some dont have pets that eat meat, some dont have any pets at all, some bypass the contradiction with bad logic, some attempt animal abuse. End of the day its set your own rules.
Yeah I grew up with a few diehard animal liberation type vegans who believe pet ownership in of itself is immoral and a form of animal abuse.
I decorated for Halloween yesterday and put on like a rainy day autumn jazz YouTube video to get moody relaxing vibes but it was 75 and sunny and like 80 today so the fall vibes are nowhere to be found!
My wife and I stocked up on our usual fall stuff last week. Candles, cinnamon brooms, all the good stuff. But it’s gonna be in the 80’s all week. Ugh
I’m a good person and people genuinely care about me. that’s a hard thing to say when you’ve come from my background but despite having so many cynics in my life, it’s good to realize this about yourself and the impact you have on those you interact with.
Yeah there's always that awkward period before fall really sets in where I go to the pumpkin patch in a flannel and have to shed the layers as I'm dying in the heat. Soon enough I'll be whining that I'm too cold haha
