I was talking with some old coworkers from like a decade ago about the small social circle we had and who was doing what and someone commented that they didn’t know much about what Person A was up to but that they thought they had two kids and I said, “no way, she’s way too young to already have two kids” and then someone said, “aren’t we all around the same age?” and someone else said “yeah” and then I said, “yeah but we’re only… like… in our… mid-30’s…” and the table went quiet for a few seconds before everyone started laughing.

I just got really depressed lol

It’s always so weird to me that I’m in my mid-30’s. I don’t act like a 20 year old but it still just doesn’t seem to stick in my head that I’m in my mid-30’s. And it never quite clicked when I was in my late 20’s so it’s nothing about the actual age/time, it’s just very bizarre to wrap my head around and not sure when it seems like most others come to grips with it quite fine.

 

If I was an up and coming working actor, I would push hard to get cast either in a role in a sci-fi series or as a voice actor in an anime. Because even if your career doesn't pan out after that, just one gig as a side character in one of those shows can guarantee you an income on the convention/expo circuit for at least a decade.

Every once and awhile it’s fun to nitpick things in movies / shows. Not to the extent that “everything wrong with X movie in X minutes” does, much lower scale.

Watching a show and the captain of a Navy ship is telling all the crew some news and he tells them while they’re all on the deck of a moving ship and there are like 100 crew so people are lined up 10-15 people deep and it’s like… no one would hear you even with a microphone lol especially not the people in the back, but here he was just talking at normal volume with nothing to carry his voice. It gets a cool shot for the show to use of course but is terribly impractical lol

 

How is Trump still allowed to run for office. Wasn’t he indicted? His cult followers love a criminal

 

Every time I see someone I work with post about Trump I gag. Literally EVERYONE I work with worships him. It’s scary. He’s a criminal but I guess being a criminal only matters if they’re a democrat (remember the radical right always and still talks about Hilary being a criminal). “Save America”. What decade are they living in. He has done nothing related to saving America. These people (his cult followers) are so delulu. I can’t even

Has anyone ever entered those store feedback “giveaway” where you get entered to win a gift card for $$$ and won? I did one for tjmaxx because why not.
Also have you ever bought a gift for someone and decided to buy something else because you decided you liked it more. Part of my secret Santa gift and some fuzzy socks but I actually realized I liked them too much so I went and bought different fuzzy socks

 

I bought an off brand water flosser because some days I’m too lazy to floss my teeth. And it was $15 at tjmaxx and I wasn’t about to spend $50 on the name brand. I don’t really see it working so maybe my technique is wrong. I have those disclosing tablets to see how much plaque is gone off my teeth.

i also bought an over door hanger because I needed another one. My apts are so crappy I can’t close the door with it

 

My stepmom enters all those contest giveaway type things and she wins stuff all the time! I always wonder if it's cause most people don't bother. But she won a wii back when they were super popular and she's won other stuff too but that's the one I remember off the top of my head

 

Maybe I should enter them more. It said you could win $500 gift card. I would be happy if I won that. Now I’m gonna enter this Ross one and in need to look for my Ulta receipt to see if there’s something to enter lol

 

I saw a tiktok of a woman who gets up at like 4:30am because she said it makes her a better mom and wife and it boiled down to that's the only way she can get alone time to decompress and take any time to herself and every time I consider changing my mind about having kids I hear things like that and nooooope I'd legit go crazy omg
