Has anyone else noticed that Amazon will say your package was handed directly to a resident and say “singed by” and your name. I had a delivery that was most certainly not handed to me and I didn’t sign for anything.

I think from time to time that any day now MTV will announce they’re closing up shop but somehow they stay afloat with tv shows explicitly marketed to teens. it wouldn’t even bother me if it wasn’t all pure garbage

 

MTV as a unit of Paramount is not closing up shop anytime soon. MTV as a cable network and as a youth brand may be though. MTV has been gradually shifting to being Paramount's go to television production house for streaming content and heightened cable shows. Yellowstone for example is produced by MTV (and is hands down the most successful thing they have done in 10 years), half the recent dramas on Showtime have been produced by MTV. They're becoming more like to Paramount what FX is to Disney.

MTV lost the "central hub for youth culture" thing to the internet years ago and they know they're never getting that back. Tiktok and Twitch are now what MTV used to be. Makes sense for them to just hang it up and move on to just making soapy Westerns for 45 year olds on Paramount+.

 

I am not a religious person, but out of all of the world's major religions I think the one I feel liked I vibe with the most is Sikhism.

God is the universe. All other religions just have different interpretations of the same god (the universe). Be good and chill. Long beards and swords are dope.

hey man. we feel the same exact way about it. I never talk to anyone who shares my interpretations. I’d fancy myself a Pantheist but I’ve no knowledge of Sikhism. time to do some research
