I get a week and a half off for my holiday break this year and I’m really excited about it. My conundrum is that I am greatly anticipating it and want it to be here, but that also means once it comes, Christmas will be about finished and it’ll be the tail end of the holiday season. sigh
Got new glasses and for the first time I have transition lenses! I love not needing to have a separate pair of prescription sunglasses or having to wear contacts just to wear sunglasses, but since my prescription is -7.5 in each eye it’s comical how thick the lenses are. Like I could almost pop one out and use it as a door stop lol
I wore glasses from 1st grade til freshman year of HS and then made the switch to contacts. I would rather die than have to wear glasses again but im happy for my dear friend @Orla
I've never had contacts. not sure I would even want them tbh. I don't wanna have to worry about losing one or taking them out every night but that's just me
Yeah my eyes are fucked and I’m super nearsighted so I need a high prescription. I wear contacts because of it. My current pair of glasses, I was able to get high index lenses so they were able to be thinned out a lot which is great, but they still make my eyes look super small. I look like a dork when I wear them. So only wear them around the house

If I had my shit together enough financially I would get laser eye surgery but even then I feel like I would occasionally wear non-prescription glasses bc I like how glasses look on my face
I kinda do this already. I have some blue light glasses that I wear at work or when I game. Admittedly, I mostly wear them just because I like how glasses look on me lol.
Also I’d love to get LASIK too but I keep getting mixed things about it, so I’m kind of hesitant. My optometrist back in my hometown definitely urged me to get it when I was old enough, but my recent optometrist advised against it because of how nearsighted I am. My wife has also seen a few TikToks of people sharing their LASIK nightmare stories and she’s (rightfully) terrified of me getting it. So that’s another factor
I wear glasses and think I look better without them but contacts freak me out. I want lasik but money and I’m also afraid I’ll have complications even though I know multiple people who had it and are fine. But I’m so sick of wearing glasses. Especially bc I need new ones bc mine fall off my face every time I look down.
One of my favorite type of Guys are the old dudes who go to the same dive bar 4 nights a week dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and straw cowboy hat. I know like 5 of those guys and everyone loves them. They will talk your ear off about The Allman Brothers Band for like an hour.
