Yesterday my gen Z coworker referred to me as "the overconsumption final boss" and while it is very direct, I don't think they meant it as an insult or to be rude at all. But it's also so true and I've never been clocked so hard and I have not stopped thinking about it since lol. I actually appreciate it because I really did not used to be this way and need to knock it off and stop trying to fill a void with objects

 

I hear that

 

my retail therapy has gotten wild

 

I just bought like 20 new pieces of clothing I did not need bc they were all $1 at the thrift store so yeah lol I get that 100%. I’m just a fashion girl at heart and love looking cute!! But I have enough cute clothes and need to stop! Clothes and books are my weakness.

 

I've purchased more books in the last two months than I have in the last two years

 

somewhat the same with clothing but not quite as bad

 

The amount of books I’ve bought that I still haven’t read is disgusting

 

I would love to solo hike. There are many cool looking trails in the Bay Area, but my fear is getting lost alone, getting injured, abducted/murdered, and my car getting broken into. I’m also not in shape whatsoever.

 

but outside of those you’re ready to go?

 

I’d love to solo hike but the place near me is notorious for women being attacked. My cousin was and another person I know had to intervene and help another woman. Shit sucks. I hate that I’m limited on what I can do bc so many men are fucking despicable!

 

Besides my anxiety of doing things alone, I think it will get me out of my comfort zone.

 

Idk if your area has anything like it, but there’s a group on FB for a park like an hour away from me and they have group hikes monthly. I wish there was a group like that closer to me bc that one doesn’t work with my schedule but I’d feel safer in a group at my local park. If you’re more into trying to do things alone (which I get 100%, I’m in the same boat), I did hike at the park an hour away solo before bc it’s way safer. I made sure to pin my cars location and I stuck with short, easy trails bc I felt less anxious of getting lost or something. I found maps online so I could plan out what trails I felt comfortable with.

 

I’m sure there’s some groups. And when I was doing therapy, my therapist told me about the meet up app.

 

No clue why I'm surprised that my phone is smart but I was surprised I can just type in foxing in my photo search bar and it brings up all my pics and videos from their shows over the years. How are we living in the future but also the past at the same time lol

Edit: okay it also included some videos from other non-Foxing shows so while it was mostly accurate I don't fear that I'll be taken over by the robots... Yet

 

The Gestapo recruitment ads I’ve been getting on YouTube TV are so fucking dystopian

 

I received package I’ve been waiting for. I ordered 2 items but received 4 (2 of each). At first I thought it was placed in separate packages. I was charged for 2. Checked the email and bank account. Checked the packaging slip. The label has the same order number but different shipping ID, same tracking number on both packages. I wonder if there was a glitch in their system. So I basically got free stuff ?

I get it. it's hard to give you advice because that's your journey but I'd maybe find a way to pay it back to them in whatever way you see fit if it's fucking with your conscience like that,

 

Do you all refer to this decade as the twenties, the 20-20s, or something else?

The first couple times I heard ppl call it the twenties it felt weird bc I’m so used to knowing the 1920s as the twenties but I’ve warmed up to it and now it’s my preferred term
