New single slaps! Really stoked this band is still going.

This is a pretty cool look for both Hopeless and Mike/Erin. The only bummer here is that it means Fat Wreck will solely be releasing records from their existing roster. No new signings (old or young). It's not the worst thing in the world given how slow the label has been these last few years - and the lack of new signings, anyway - but it leaves me with a sad feeling in my gut.

Feels like the end of an era for me.

 

New Iron Roses single dropped today! Super catchy, fun... And timely.

New 3-track EP drops in September. Which is cool and all but uh, man, I was really hoping for another full-length. Haha.

 

Stunned by this record. Just a really well-written, speedy pop-punk record of the 90s variety with darker vibes.

FFO: Kerplunk!-era Green Day, Discount, Pegboy, early Alkaline Trio, Cadillac Blindside, etc.

 

the living end have new music out, came up in my recs on youtube, didn't know they were still putting out tunes!

Haven’t heard them in a while. Pretty sure that’s one of the side bands Zack from Pup from plays in.

This album sounds like Drug Church doing straight-ahead punk rock. There's a definite Flatliners vibe about it too... And there's a definite Hüsker Dü influence too, though I'm not sure I would have picked up on that if the band themselves and my buddy who introduced this to me hadn't pointed it out.

Regardless, this shit slaps!

 

fuck I knew that was Nathan gray! Totally forgot about this side project.

 

Their album from 2023 is very good.

 

The Iron Roses absolutely rip! Super fun, anthemic pop-punk with some upstrokes here or there. Check out the LP. It's great!

And please take this in the right spirit but... They actually go by Natasha now and have made it really clear that they don't want to be referred to as Nathan anymore. (Not accusing you of anything just making sure you're informed!)
