new mean Jeans rips their new album Blasted dropped on friday! For fans of Tightwire, Screeching Weasel, The Lawrence Arms Blasted (orcd.co)
Does anybody know anything about this band? They were on my Release Radar this week and it appears to be a novelty pop-punk band that only writes songs about working in a corporate environment? Song titles include "Back-to-Back Meetings" and "The Printer is Broken Again." Very dumb? Yes. Very awesome and catchy and relatable? Also yes. And I can't find out anything about them... FFO: The Copyrights, Masked Intruder, Tightwire
The Top 20 Punk Albums That Turn 20 This Year Even Though I Remember Listening to Them in High School and There’s No Way That Was Already 20 Years Ago, Was It? (thehardtimes.net)
It's been ages since I've listened to this album because it's not on streaming but it definitely deserves more love. The Crush did the whole "midwestern punk with gritty vocals" thing well before it caught traction in the late 2000s/early 2010s... And it quietly set the stage for me to fall in love with the Lawrence Arms, Dillinger four, Banner Pilot, and so on down the line. Super underrated record. FFO: The Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio, Banner Pilot, the Ataris, Bayside, Dillinger Four, etc.
Yeah, this is a fantastic listen! No frills, super catchy, and somehow sounds new and fresh while simultaneously not being that at all? Haha. Felt really good about my pre-order after listening to the whole thing.
New Dog Date out today. Highly recommend all of their stuff if you like noisy, fuzzed out punk with two drummers just because.
They've effectively ditched any of the hardcore elements from previous albums on this one, so I guess I'll post this one here. Egg punk with a goth spin. If you happen to like bands in the Devo lineage and bands in the Christian Death lineage, you'll probably like this too.

Musician friends! It's been a looong time, but we are finally making a new Chorus members compilation! Original songs, this time around. I'm not sure how many of you still follow the official compilation thread on here, so if you don't follow it, but you'd like to submit a track or two to the comp, check the post here and sub to that thread.
