Anybody read Keith Morris' book? It's pretty fun and introducing me to all sorts of bands I hadn't heard. Just tracked down a CD of Inger Lorre's old band, Nymphs on EBay for like 4 bucks and I'm excited to dive in.
A friend of mine met the co-writer Jim Ruland at - unexpectedly - a laundry mat on the Navajo reservation a few months back. They had an awesome chat and since he was unable to hook my friend up with a copy of the book, Ruland gave my friend a copy of Razorcake magazine, haha. I still need to check that book out.
Propagandhi recently re-issued some old tees - the "Gun Sight" and "PC Fascist" - which makes me happy since I've been wanting 'em for years now. Once again super relevant, unfortunately.
Coming across this made me so happy. I really enjoyed Exister and I've been looking forward to the follow up. Chuck's solo material since that album has been top notch too.
That new Hot Water Music song is fantastic. Reminds me of the Bouncing Souls in the best way possible...
I saw Descendents last night and they were fucking incredible. I saw this band tonight and more of you should listen to them. I'm seeing Iron Chic on Sunday and I'm very excited for that.
Iron Chic were great last night. They also mentioned that they recently finished recording the new album, so hopefully it won't be too long until it's out
This new Dopamines record is awesome. Definitely rough around the edges like Vices was, but the songs are much better. Strange that they put two 5+ year old songs on it though lol
Well, in better news, Iron Chic announced their new album on Side One Dummy, release date of 10/13, pretty excited for this.
