  1. Officially cancelled along with Jessica Jones. Funny enough I just finished S2 last night.

I finished it as well. Damn, what a nose dive this season took. Every single character's arc was anti climatic. Ugh.

It's a shame this show went out with such a weak ending.

And you just know the people saying Netflix is cancelling these shows because they don't like working with other studios and want full control is complete BS. Umbrella Academy is a brand new show and it's co-produced by Universal, for example

But I'm sure at this point most people are in agreement that these cancellations are related to Disney's launch of their new streaming platform

Yet their statement blames Netflix. Awkward. Haha

There is an entire season yet. I didn’t like the end of season 2, but perhaps like Daredevil they will kill season 3.

Huh? There's going to be a season 3 of the Punisher?

I'm actually fine with the Netflix series not being just like the comic book Punisher. I still loved him in DD season 2 and the first season of his own show. No complaints, was glued to my seat through the whole thing.

I was hoping the video would go into how midway through Season 2 they botched all the characters and they all had anti climatic story arcs.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love the Netflix show (well, season 1 anyway). I'd just love to see a 100% comic book accurate version at some point.

I’m on ep. 3 and this is a slog. This Christian thing is stupid and why not just let jigsaw loose? Villains gotta villl

Man, I feel like they wasted Jigsaw. It doesn't get much better with his character :-/

Season 2 was so shit. The more I think about it, the more it annoys me

Finished season 2. Maybe the worst of the Marvel seasons on Netflix. I thought Iron Fist season 1 had some bright spots.

  18. I apologize if this bump overly excites anyone!

Finally got around to watching Season 2 and I'm not sure what it says about my tastes haha but I really liked it. It was definitely a slow burn (especially compared to the much shorter D+ Marvel shows) but I honestly enjoyed it unfolding little by little.

The finale was a bit odd, especially how it handled John but for the most part I felt pretty satisfied with how things wrapped up. My one gripe is the Krista - her character felt like a bit much. That said, I enjoyed Billy a lot in this - loved his story of feeling betrayed by Frank because he couldn't remember what happened after they were in the Marines. Barnes really sold the frustration for me.

Not sure what's going to happen down the line but I'd love to see Bernthal return as the Punisher. I'm not super familiar with the comics version of the character so I can't say how true this version is, but I really enjoy his take.

I also really enjoyed Season 2 when I watched it. The only complaint I can remember right now is that I wish the storyline with Billy intersected more with the storyline with Frank. It felt like Billy was more Madani's villain than Frank's, up until the end, and then it was over.

I dunno, I think it would've been better if they didn't have Billy killed by Frank at the end, but escaped somehow to become a loose end for Frank to wrap up in a Season 3, where they could be better pitted against each other instead of Billy relegated to a side story.

  20. I'm definitely of two minds with the Billy plot and how it wrapped up. Considering there's nothing on the horizon for the show, I was happy that it didn't leave too much up in the air but I agree that they just kind of said "Oh it's the last episode, better kill him".

Was thinking about catching up on the other Netflix shows - still hadn't seen S3 of Jessica Jones, a part of S2 of Luke Cage and S2 of Iron First - but I'm not sure I have the attention span to maintain these 50 minute episodes right now haha.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

honestly could not finish s2 of this, it was so unbearably dull to me. I sat through both seasons of Iron Fist without issue so take this was the appropriate grains of salt (s2 of IF is actually good tho)

My opinion is that all of the Netflix shows are good. They're not all of equal caliber and I'll readily admit some of them have flaws, but I think they all have plenty of watchable and enjoyable moments.
