Looks fucking awesome. Between the trailer, the director, the creative involvement of Indigenous people, I am really, really anticipating this.
And not to harp on it, but the involvement of Indigenous people means that this movie has huge potential to be one of the first major largely Indigenous horror films. That's huge.
After the last Predator, I felt like I was done with the series. It's like the Jurassic Park series where you just can't beat the first. But this looks like a nice, fresh take on it. Only thing that sucks is not being in theaters. Disney nerfing all of these 20th Century movies absolutely blows.
Absolutely. There’s no reason for it, especially when there’s no other movies out that week (for “Fire Island”). They clearly hate 20th Century (and imo non-IP Pixar).
I didn't really like 10 Cloverfield Lane, but I know a lot of folks in here did. The trailer looks very promising though.
I don't like the ending but everything before the last 15 minutes or so ruled (re: 10 Cloverfield Lane)
This is the fresh and unique take that the franchise needed. Too bad Hulu isn’t available where I live. Hopefully international markets will get it.
Made a thread, ‘cause why not discuss this in a dedicated thread instead of the one for this movie, lol: Prey (Dan Trachtenberg; August 5, 2022) • forum.chorus.fm This looks very good. Just wish I could see it in theaters.
