I can't get over the idea of a super-Predator. Just feels so dumb. Its like Indominous Rex all over again.
From just those few comments, I'm going to hold off on trailers and just see the movie. Hoping for the best!
Random tidbit, I just got back from Cozumel Mexico a few weeks ago and there were Predator merch evvveerrywhere. I dunno if they are super hyped for this movie or what, but when I went 5 years ago I don't remember seeing any (it was mostly Avengers stuff haha).
I mean, its different because the humans aren't making the super predator... the predators are making themselves stronger using the research that have been doing on other planets for centuries.
I meant more so in that there is a need for the writers to one-up a concept that works on its own. Its just feels unnecessary adding something stronger than a killing machine for the wow factor.
I get what you are saying from the standpoint of jurassic world 2 because the movie itself was trash. However, this idea has worked in past several times... most notably Terminator 2. For some reason everyone wants to refer to the times it didn't work. I mean, they kept the same idea for Predator 2 and that didn't help for shit. That movie blows.
I also have hang-ups with what we've seen so far, but trust in Shane Black and am excited for Keagen Michael Key. Also...some of the artwork for this movie has been sick

Fox Pulls Scene From THE PREDATOR After Shane Black Hired Sex Offender To Shoot A Scene With Olivia Munn
I don't know what's worse, that he also snuck him in both Iron Man 3 and Nice Guys, or that his Predator role was hitting on the female lead. Eek. I'm conflicted because I love Shane Black's films, even Iron Man 3, and still kinda want to see this one. But, given the level of awful here... Is Shane Black really someone I wanna give money to right now? If nothing else, maybe I should just Redbox this, unless something happens to restore confidence in this director's character.
