    Got a light?

Last night was amazing, both performances sounded massive

New Haven posters available here: TPS/DCFC New Haven Posters

I didn't realize it was Don Pendleton until after the show and they were sold out when I tried to get one during The Postal Service set! Stoked to grab one today...

I am a little curious if Death Cab will do anything extra at Riot Fest since they're slotted for a whole hour and setlist.fm is showing their set as 45 -50 minutes. If that's true there's an extra 10-15 minutes they have to play and Ben would get a full hour break until Postal Service. Probably wishful thinking but would be cool.

I've got a single ticket for the Philadelphia show on Thursday if anyone's interested. I can't make it (driving to furnace fest that day) and hate to see it go to waste. $40 and it's yours. Feel free to message me.

    Did they do anything else?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Apologies in advance since I’m about to go on a hit of a tangent, but I’m starting to think part of the reason why Death Cab is limiting their setlist to just one album, and also doing a peculiar encore is that there may be fear that this tour is sort of a “be all/end all” for Death Cab tours.

Transatlanticism is the most well-regarded Death Cab album for sure and it’s a big deal that they’re touring it and it’s certainly a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I’m thinking that if the band were to include a few of their standard songs in their set as well, a lot of attendees might think “well, I saw the album and I saw the hits, I’m good on seeing them again.” This is also probably the reason why this tour isn’t hitting up a bunch of markets.

If they limit the set to just one album, and if they limit the areas this tour comes to, it’ll keep demand there for future Death Cab tours.

Or, I’m thinking way too fucking hard about this lmao

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Just came back from the Michigan show. Pretty sure I spent more time in traffic than than I did seeing those two sets lol.

Nah they ended like 10 minutes early. Kind of a bummer but it was an incredible show so I won’t complain

Yeah, last night's show in Michigan was incredible. One of the best sounding shows I've ever attended.

Not unreasonable. Ben did say on a podcast recently that after this tour, death cab is going away for a while

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Last night ruled. Ben still sounds so damn good, and the bands in general just sounded pristine and so tight

I was wondering what their next move would be after this tour. That’s kind of a bummer, but understandable. Asphalt Meadows is amazing and was hoping they’d support that one a little more

Anyone remember what time their show ended? Seems like it’s been on the earlier side and I’m trying to make a 10:49 train tomorrow night ha

    Maybe so, maybe not.

I am also curious about this for MSG tonight (10:52 PM or 11:52 PM train).

I'll have to look into train schedules for tomorrow's MSG show, but I dont think I'll mind skipping that 2 song encore if need be.

You know we are getting old when we are begging for shows to end early.

From the previous setlists, I've calculated that tomorrow's show will end at 11:05. Could be wrong, though!

    Warpaint - 8:00-8:30
    DCFC - 9:00-9:45
    TPS - 10:00-11:05

Had to leave MSG tonight at the start of Natural Anthem and this is accurate.

Thanks to both of you! Did you make your 10:52 by doing that?

  22. Drewski

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Yes I did but I've been to 50+ Phish shows at MSG alone and I have it down to the science of a split second haha. I was also in the 100s so I knew I was quick to the ground. I left my seat at 10:45.

Clark Gable wins song of the night. Blew my hair back when the chorus kicked in. Significantly louder and with more oomph than the rest of the show.

Is the postal service ending the show every night? Or do they trade off?
