Thinking we maybe get 2-4 extra tracks each. Resale is pretty high for the Philly show. $300 a ticket. Thats pretty tempting. Too bad I have a conscience

As far as it being collaborative, Ben said on a recent podcast that it will be two separate sets and then everyone will join for the last song

Ah, interesting. Wonder what the last song will be? Assuming that it’s an encore of some sort

  4. Is there any way they don't save "Such Great Heights" for the end? Or just play it a second time if they're determined to do the album in order.

    Things have changed.

a super epic "I'll Follow You Into the Dark"?

It’d be weird if they did it, but maybe Death Cab skips Trasatlanticism (the title track, haha) and save it for the encore? That way they get all those sweet, sweet backing vocals

A lack of color (TPS version)

All that catalog and they do a mf cover and a song for a second time...

Encore is kind of a bummer. Why play a song twice. Weird choice.

Would be cool if the acoustic SGH is the Iron & Wine version.

Ending on a cover is weird to me. SGH acoustic followed by a joint big Death Cab song would be awesome, but I could also do without the second rendition of SGH.

stoked for next week in Boston.

I understand why they’re focusing on those two albums specifically, but it would be cool to get an extra Death Cab song or two in the encore. Or a Postal Service b-side or something. I’m still really looking forward to my show though

Don’t go on pitchfork if you don’t want to see what the cover is lol

Cool choice for a cover, hopefully the crowds recognize it.

edit: just listened to a YT vid of the cover, ok not a great choice. They either need to do something completely different with it or beef it up, the bass synths are missing and it sounds very hollow. Also, Bens vocals just don’t have the power of Dave.

Hoping someone goes to a date before me. Hearing how this set up it sounds kind of a bit…boring. I impulse bought tickets. Debating on selling.

Gimme light, gimme love, gimme fire

Went to the Portland show on Friday. This tour is exactly as advertised and it’s so interesting to see Ben play as two types of front man since both acts are so different. Audience was definitely a PS crowd - anytime Jenny sang there was a a roar from folks.

I hear the complaints about the encore. Covering a song you literally played 8 songs before was so odd. Would have preferred anything else.

Excited for tomorrow in Boston, glad to hear everyone has thought both acts sounded great despite a lack of col…I mean… surprises.

Been listening to both albums a ton this last week. I enjoyed the lyrics when I heard these albums as a teenager but my god do I fully appreciate them more now. Absolute poetry. Entire scenes and emotions beautifully crafted in my mind with such simple and fitting words.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Not to sound ungrateful or entitled, but DCFC doing the album and nothing else is a really, really weird choice for an arena and sheds tour.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I mean, Ben is doing two sets a night lol

    Got a light?

I mean these two albums being played in one night is all I really need but then again I saw Asphalt Meadows tour so, anyway see anyone going tonight there !
