What a finale. Just brilliant tv each episode. This may have been Noah’s best work this season tonight. Not as flashy as the panic attack episode, but you could feel the world colliding inside of him as it went. Just brutal, but incredible. Surprised they didn’t put up a “for help turn to” thing at the end given a patient had attempted suicide and Robby contemplating it for a whole scene.
Loved how the (near) last scene of the season mirrored the first scene of the season only the roles were reversed between Dr. Robbie and Dr. Abbott So good. Hope this show just cleans up across the board come award season.
great ending. no shock factor, no rug pull, no brutal cliffhanger. just vibes. Dr. King still the best
IGN season 1 review: 10/10 masterpiece. By contrast they gave Severance season 2 an 8/10 and The White Lotus season 3 a 6/10. This puts The Pitt up there with The Bear, Andor, Succession, The Leftovers, and Shogun in the IGN 10/10 Masterpiece season club.
Loved the finale and its reveals. Never been more stressed watching a show week to week and I can’t wait for January.
Mohan perfectly portrayed "tail end of long 12 hour+ shift exhaustion mania" his episode. I don't think I have ever seen it shown on screen like that before.
The only tiny thing about the back half of this season that bugged me just a little bit is that the day shift surgical consult and the night shift surgical consult kind of felt like the exact same character but just actor swapped. Or maybe his show is trying to say that all surgeons have that specific personality lol Also I would have liked one more Mel/Langdon scene
Agreed. I was fully expecting Collins to be rushed to the hospital as they were walking out/heading home.
Great ending! I'm also glad there wasn't a cliffhanger at the very end, it didn't really need one. Just finishing up a work shift after one hell of a day and time to get some rest and wake up and go back to work on the morning! Really hope it sweeps awards season, there was really nothing like it this season and it's so deserving of anything it gets. The literal definition of prestige tv. Favorite characters were Robbie and Santos. SANTOS STAY WINNING. Really hope we see both Langdon and Dana next season.....I feel of the two Langdon is the most likely. Dana I'm like 99% is gone and she'll be missed. January can't come soon enough, bring on the 4rh of July and firework horrors!
Noah Wyle on The Watch pod on the decision to not bring back Collins in the last few episodes "the back half of the season was all about taking away Robby's support systems. If Collins were there we feel like she might been one of the voices that could have reached him, and we didn't want him to be reachable"
Just finished watching the season one finale and my god it's incredible, Noah Wyle's performance in the finale was definitely Emmy award worthy.. bring on season 2 and fingers crossed The Pitt : Night Shift spin off!! Now the season is over.. other than Noah, the show itself probably gonna be a lock for awards consideration, which of the ensemble cast will get nominated in the supporting actor and actress categories?
