Man that latest episode was brilliant

 

This show continues to nail it with every episode. I saw so many videos/posts about theories on who the shooter was going to be, while the whole time I was hoping it wouldn't be some big reveal. This show seems to be the antithesis of the long history of medical show dramas, where figuring out the shooter would be central to the plot for those types of shows, but so glad that they didn't go that way. I think it actually made it even more heartbreaking and real - these happen so often that does it matter who the shooter is if the problem itself continues to grow?

So happy that Noah Wyle is getting more recognition in this chapter of his career. Really seems like a good dude. His interview with Marc Maron was great.

Are there any Pittsburgh specific July 4th traditions they can Incorporate into season 2?

Nothing different than any other city. Just fireworks downtown.

 

Yea, nothing really comes to mind. Like, I live north of the city and my town has a huge community days thing. But even that is now set after the 4th to allow more people to come to that and do fireworks wherever around here.

 

Ok now that Severance and The White Lotus are done I think I can confidently agree this is the best show of 2025 so far.

 

Only thing that may (and I stress may) pass it is The Last of Us.

I watched episode 5 last night and continue to be baffled by all the praise for this show. There's several actors that are straight up awful. There's so many cringey one liners/lines that bring me out of the show. I'm ready to pull the plug!

 

Which actors/lines are bad? Provide examples.

 

Almost everything out of the blond nurse's mouth is corny. All of the lines involved with taking bets on the ambulance. The kid that stopped by for the tickets - bad actor/awful dialogue. That was just from the previous episode.

The woman who wanted to intubate her dad was a bad actor for another example.

 

Oh and the mean intern - that whole character is tough to watch, acting & story & dialogue.

Yes, Dr. Santos.

 

Dana is great
The bet thing was whatever, have no feelings either way towards it
Dr Robby’s “son” acting is fine and he’s barely in the show
Santos sucks but that actress is playing the role perfectly.
