I don’t want a night shift spin-off because I want to keep imagining that they are all far more friendly and mentally healthy than the day shift team
Forget The Pitt: Night shift. Still probably a few years out but watching Whiticker take a leadership role with first Ogelvie and now Jivahdi i wanna see The Pitt: Appalachia where he joins a rural hospital as either the attending or working under some elderly attending where he still basically has to be the guy running things adjusting to both dealing with the leadership role and the much smaller hospital
man that resuscitative hysterotomy was intense as shit. saw a random tweet saying they wished there was more medial stuff?? there was a lot of character stuff obviously but that was intense enough for an episode. all the character stuff struck a pretty perfect note for me too. would love to karaoke with Mel and Santos. Santos would be so mean to me though Robby and Al-Hasimi’s confrontation was brutal, Robby and Abbot’s big talk was a little cheesy but worked, Wyle was incredible, similar thoughts on Robby/Langdon. Everyone looked so nice in their streets and hair down, including Digby. Great finale. Agree that the season wasn’t quite as good as the first but the finale was top 3 eps for me I think. Anyone complaining about lack of resolution with Mohan or the baby or whatever else is being stupid and annoying imo, you gotta lean into some of that when you’re doing the day per season thing
fantastic finale. very good season. cried through the entire last scene with baby jane doe. really beautiful stuff, noah is phenomenal and fuck does gemmill know how to write good television
A little surprised how much as left unresolved with Robby. But also maybe it doesn't matter? Is he going on his ride? Is he going to summer kind of rehab? Is he taking Noelle to Cancun? Is he gonna become Doctor Dad and raise baby jane doe? At the end of the day I feel like he's gonna get whatever he needs done to come back Santos and Mel busting out Alanis was such a great way to end the season. Mel literally letting her hair down while Santos actually gets some platonic friendship... Great little moment for both of them Whiticker clearly more involved with the farmers wife than initially suggested. Will be interesting to see what they do with that Overall great episode and great season.
Was interesting seeing people react to the fireworks differently. I felt like Mohan was thinking of the shooting but that was just my read. Show is good at little moments
I didn’t even clock it as I was watching it, but the pregnant woman really was the only patient we saw get treated the whole episode, right? Besides Robby caring for BJD of course. The least “medical” an ep has ever been
I'll push against the thought that this season was a slight step down. My eyes were glued to my screen each and every minute of every single episode. I'd put it on par with season one. Fantastic show. Is season 3 ready yet?
