I think we still get Robby on the bike, but he takes it to meet Noelle at the airport rather than going on his death ride. Robby especially is the type of person who needs to be in control of his actions. Taking the option away from him (psych hold, stealing the bike, anything like that) doesn't really resolve anything.
The still frame of the ep on HBO Max when you click to watch is of Al-Hashemi without her jacket on…she’s so dead
A good season. Step down from the first one, but that was such a breath of fresh air that it is hard to replicate.
Baby Jane Doe not being there to be a major finale save, but she was there to save Robby is kind of brilliant writing.
Love how the mystery of Whitaker’s badge resolved. Mid-credits scene was fun. Intrigued to learn how Al-Hashimi’s situation carries into next season. Good episode.
Some people are already grumbling that Mohan's arc didn't have a satisfying ending, but I dunno I thought it was realistic. Just resigning herself to the kinda bummer realization that sometimes you have to lower your life expectations to be happy I think is more interesting ending for that character than if she suddenly had a revelation of exactly what she wanted to do in life like Javadi.
Great finale. The ending with Baby Jane Doe was perfect. As was the karaoke credits. Perla’s moment watching the fireworks was also a nice touch and good reminder of the impact of ICE storyline. Let’s just keep it running into the night shift. I’ll take a Pitt after dark spin off.
