I guess Jeff Kober was a regular In China Beach, which was John Wells' first big tv show Also I didn't realize that Kober played the bush pilot that flew Mulder and Scully to Alaska in the standout X-Files episode 1x8 Ice.
Jeff Kober played the leader of a group of bad guys in a few episodes of The Walking Dead and has one of the most memorable deaths in the show I also love his guest spot in Always Sunny where he plays a gun dealer Dennis and Dee are trying to buy from
Admittedly not familiar with Kober at all (don’t remember him in TWD) but he gives me major Jeff Bridges vibes.
Robby: You shouldn't lift anything over 5 pounds. Duke: So then how am I going to take a piss? Great joke
Every Duke focused beat has worked perfectly. The jokes have been funny, the dramatic stuff has hit home.
Checked out the very early Gold Derby Emmy odds. Patrick Ball currently #1 favorite to win Best Supporting Actor Drama. That would be nice.
I have a theory that the beat of Robby dealing with the loss of his mentor was a holdover from when it was supposed to be an ER reboot, and that Dr. Adamson was supposed to be Dr. Benton originally.
Also think it could be possible the Langdon drug stuff is a holdover too. I won't go into why because I dunno if Orla has gotten to that point in ER yet.
Wyle gonna repeat best actor, think LaNasa also repeats supporting actress unless Moafi puts in a masterclass performance this episode and they give it to her instead. But one of the women is probably winning that. Hope they mix up guest actor and give it to the guys who played Digby or Duke instead of just going with Abbott again but none of those three would surprise me. The people who played Roxie and Monica could definitely get guest actress too. So show could easily get 5/6 of the acting awards, right?
The current odds have LaNasa winning again and Dearden also getting a nom in that category. No Moafi. But it's way early out who knows.
