I love that were entering the final stretch but still have a month of this season left. Most shows 4 episodes would only be half a season.
The Pitt finally got released in the UK so people there are seeing it for the first time and we are getting first impression reviews again. "It is paced like The Bear or Boiling Point on a hospital ward, with the camera and characters jumping between stations like a sous chef prepping their mise en place." Nice analogy, The Independent.
What would a British version of The Pitt look like? Having the NHS would like fundamentally change aspects of the show so what drama could they fill the gaps with?
There is a German The Pitt on Apple TV+. Actually I think it might slightly predate The Pitt. It's also a little more Euphoria-ish than The Pitt.
The main drama is the hurried / erratic nature of an ER and the conflicts between the staff, so idk if it would look much different? I can't imagine British ERs not also being a matter of setting out one fire after another as well. There have only been a few patients whose plotlines touch on the disgusting cost of getting care in the U.S.
From British doctor YouTubers I have watched the big problem in the UK is budget cuts to the NHS. Austerity basically. There was a major NHS workers strike in the UK not too long ago.
I need the medical billing character that’s trying to get the insurance companies to pay for the crazy shit that Robby does
Yeah now I’m even more confused. So she didn’t hear Santos say it last ep? And Robby dropped it so casually which makes it sound like it’s not a secret?
I think she was far enough way to not make out the words, just able to see it was clearly not a nice discussion.
Pretty surprised Robby flat-out told Dr. Al that Santos reported Langdon for taking benzos. Also shout-out to Joy for looking after her mental health, I wonder what’s going to bring her back before the season end
Santos talking to Whitaker about her feelings about Langdon was a good scene. I’m glad, so far at least, there isn’t some big crazy thing like the shooting from last season. All of the doctors/nurses just going crazy from having a shit day is enough.
I’ve seen some brutal injuries on this show, but seeing that sunburnt patient made me feel more physically unwell than all. I don’t like sunburns. I hate the sun
