It's just such a refreshing detour from all the mystery box and whodunnit theory heavy stuff on tv right now.
I finally picked up season 2 of severance after taking some time off after episode 3. Wasn’t doing it for me. Has gotten better for sure, but this show is easily superior right now.
Oh I wasn't confused, I knew exactly what that meant for what to expect for the last few episodes of this season.
Oh I remembered that on ER. Noah Wyle's character also had a pill addiction/pill stealing subplot similar to Langdon
Well, IIRC, it was set up as following a 15 hour shift. It doesn’t matter to me either way, just didn’t match with what I read. Or at least thought I read.
Just finished watching the latest episode... Damn this show is so fucking good!! I swear after each episode I am like fuck I want the next episode of The Pitt now!! Lol
I want to go back at some point and see if Langdon only starts being hard on her after she started asking about the pills.
Kind of a dumb question but is there any way Langdon could be back as a physician in that ER? I think no
I liked Severance S1 but I'm also not able to make it through the third episode this season. Probably too cryptic and understated for my dumb brain.
i was discussing it with my wife and I don't think there's any way he could come back as a doctor anywhere. if he was just getting high and got caught, he'd probably get suspended and have to attend treatment to come back. doing that by way of stealing from the hospital itself ... yeah, he's cooked.
ER has a different format and more episodic with some overarching seasonal character arcs, but tonally very similar. Similar way it's feels more grounded with reality. Similar way it deals with societal issues. Similar cinematography style. Similar humor.
It depends how Robby handles it and how the audit goes. Could be bad enough he loses his medical license. Could be fired and keep his licence but get blacklisted from other residencies. He could get fired, but is able to get another residency in another hospital. He could be cleared on a technicality and be able to come back. It all depends. My bet is they will be overwhelmed by end of shift and need every hand they can, and Robby lets him back at least temporarily.
Oh my God I love this show. Latest episode was FANTASTIC and time flew by and when it ended I was like noooooo. Holy shit talk about intense. And then when they were cutting the burn victim so he could breathe. And then the swollen tongue. Wow.
Current early GoldDerby Emmy odds giving this a high likelihood it'll get nominated for Best Drama (#7) and Best Actor in a Drama (#6) meaning both in the range of getting a nom. Taylor Dearden being #24 for best supporting actress in a drama is the closest the odds give them for anything else.
unrelated to this show but they don’t have dichen lachman on there for supporting actress. i wonder if she runs as a guest actress since she isn’t main cast s2
