Imagine being a patient and in all this pain and scared and the doctors are just arguing until all of a sudden one walks up and just slices you without saying anything
Yeah the actual shitty thing is that they weren’t even telling her what they thought was wrong and then they just go ahead and sedate her. If she wakes up then she’d definitely be within her right (idk legally but just morally) to be pissed about being left in the dark the whole time
Not pissed about saving her life, pissed about keeping her in the dark about what they expected was happening the entire time she was conscious
If I were to face an out-of-the-blue critical medical issue that could even possibly lead to death, and I and the doctors are stuck just waiting around for others to come, I would appreciate being able to take that time to, say, alert family and friends about it
I would presume they were doing it to keep her calm and to minimize on the wasting of time that they very clearly need all of
idk I think I'd rather the ER doctors use their limited time to take action rather than gently explain the imminent life-threatening danger I'm in.
Except there were multiple scenes emphasizing how they couldn’t take the actions they wanted because they were stuck waiting on someone from surgery
Plus there are multiple times where she outright asks what they think is wrong with her and they bother to talk to her but don’t actually give her a real answer!
I feel like where they're heading with Ogilvey is that he's mirroring a lot of the same challenges Whitaker faced last season, but unlike Whitaker he's gonna crack instead of rising to the occasion.
