I saw one thing from a doctor where they pointed out there was a lot of clear medical ethics violations this episodes (Whitaker playing family with a dead patient's wife, McKay setting up dates with patients at Wendy's, Javadi falsely portraying herself as a doctor on social media). I wonder if any of that is gonna come back to bite any of them.

I assume Whitaker will take a hit, but not from an ethics standpoint, just personal life mess. I doubt the other two become an issue.

Are those all really ethics violations? Javadi sure if she's falsy portraying herself. But it's not like the other two are active patients

  7. Medical influencer stuff is definitely a little murky imo. Regarding this specific scenario, it’s not the best look if she’s not making it explicitly clear that she’s a student doctor. However I think the bigger concern is her linking it to her actual place of work. I’m sure the hospital would not be stoked about her giving out unregulated medical advice in their name haha

From what i understand yeah even if it's former patients it still crosses the line. The doctor I heard said that the McKay one was the most blatant violation.

This felt like one of the most comedic episodes of the series, so of course it had to end with Louie possibly dying

    Another A+ episode

Juxtaposition between the cancer patient and all the comedic bits I think was a really good choice. Made it all the more devastating whenever they cut back to her

I think Langdon does something to save Louie and while not redeem himself with Robbie, at least make Robbie stop and realize he's still a good doctor and the Pitt needs him

My wife and I absolutely lost it during the bowel cleaning scene. That was absolutely hilarious. But as others have said, amazing episode. Starting to think Robby is going too far with Langdon though.

Robby's handling of Frank this season has been impeding them both from providing the best patient care and Robby clearly knows this, although less than he's willing to admit to himself and certainly others. It makes sense he feels that way - Frank undermined a great deal of trust between them. Apart from stealing benzos, he implied in S1E15 that if Robby reported him he'd disclose that Robby had a breakdown, further compromising both men's integrity

Even if Frank's been a model of recovery and deeply regrets how he hurt Robby, you can't just reappear in someone's life after that and realistically expect them to want to make amends on day one. Healing takes time and things may never be back to how they were. That's life, and this show's been doing a solid job of portraying that
