One of my least favorite moments from s1 was when they followed up the moment of Evans getting punched by the disgruntled waiting room guy with all of the nursing staff yelling at Robby about how dangerous the job can be, as if he wouldn’t already be abundantly familiar and sympathetic to all of that. Felt like the characters talking to the camera rather than each other
Given the Independence Day of it all, I think the subject of “fireworks and PTSD” was always going to come up at some point in the season. I think they found a pretty natural way to work it in, and it makes sense that they would link it to a local tragedy. The additional scene with Perla was a bit much though
Enjoyed the Seven Springs shoutout. Went there with my whole family (aunts, uncles, cousins) every summer for 20+ straight years (yes I’m aware it’s mostly known as a ski resort).
I liked that thing about honey. Glad they're showing that not all homeopathic traditional home remedies are quackery. Honey is the big one that is legit. Garlic is the other one.
The ICE plot this season that was spoiled me by the writer's interviews before the season is gonna hit so fucking hard right now and be so prescient
@Greg @imthegrimace Just caught a niche Pittsburgh reference in episode 2 you guys missed The guy that comes in with a piece of broccoli stuck in his windpipe the EMT mentioned he was eating at Pamela's, which I guess is a popular local diner chain.
I caught it, I didn’t know I had to call out every Pittsburgh reference but I will do my best to remember going forward.
