At last night's Golden Globes it was mentioned that, while nothing has been confirmed, season 3 may take place on Halloween.
ER did a few Halloween episodes Notably 3x5 Ghosts where Noah Wyle has to save a Frankenstein with a GSW to the chest
Saw a lot of speculation that Robby is going to leave a little early (at like 3PM) only to get hit while helmetless on his bike and wind back up in the ER, allowing the shift to extend a few more episodes as no one is gonna want to go home without knowing Robby is okay without needing another pittfest type situation and yeah unfortunately that makes way too much sense
I dunno I heard Noah Wyle say Robby not wearing a helmet was a last minute on the fly creative choice made right before shooting the opening scene. That would be a very ER John Wells thing to do though.
Medical professionals tend to do dumb things like that though. There’s always gonna be a group of respiratory therapists that take smoke breaks together.
The stereotype of ER docs is that they are adrenaline junkies. So yeah an ER doc riding a motor tracks.
Idk what the payoff will be but I definitely also interpreted the lack of a helmet + him passing the ambulance on the bridge during an explicit no-passing part as him being casually reckless with his own safety
Now that you mention it I rewatched the premiere last night and there was a part Langdon tells the bike rider "you should always wear your helmet" and it cuts to Robby. Maybe there is something there who knows.
Per The Ringer's Prestige TV pod Mateo isn't in the first part of this season because Jalen Thomas Brooks was filming for an upcoming YA ice hockey romance series for Amazon Prime Video. He's in the trailer briefly I guess so they're assuming he's gonna be the night shift crew.
rewatching before the new episode, hard to overstate how bad the opening song is and yes i know they're a pittsburg band
headliner??? usually mosts fests have a local stage but they play at like 5pm not headlining end of the night shit
