Didn't love it. Lakeith and Issa had solid on screen chemistry. Both had this nervous/smitten energy the whole time that was usually charming. But the dialogue is clunky at times in ways that made the romance feel unnatural. I enjoyed all the flashback moments and kind of wish it had just focused on that instead. Still, there were plenty of charming moments.

This is more nitpicky, but what the hell was Michael article suppose to be about? At the start he was interviewing Isaac about the oil spill, katrina and how all that effected life in Louisiana, but then it's about Christine? I had no idea what was going on there.

 

I was so excited when I saw Chelsea
Lakeith and Issa had good chemistry and I could believe that Lakeith and Rey were brothers who chose different paths in life, it was also nice seeing Issa in a role where she was thriving at least workwise
I had a hard time not just seeing it as Lakeith and Issa, especially because they were both kinda guarded, and everything LaKeith does in this movie is something his weird ass would do haha like get out of a long term relationship and start seeing someone like a week later and never tell her or tell his friend hey want to see a movie and then take him to a French movie at a museum because the girl he thinks is hot works there
I did like the flashbacks and how they tied the Isaac/Christina story and the Mike/Mae story
didn't realize Andy was Kelvin

 

Watching this tonight. Big fan of both leads.
