I know not everyone who shared or donated is in this thread, but it seems like the most appropriate place to say: He's home, he's happy, and he's healing. Thank you guys so, so, so much.
Thank you Mary we were hesitant to share at first because we didn't want to jinx anything, but it's day four and he's doing great.
I'm sooo happy for you, I know it's been a long struggle! It's definitely scary to have a cat in need of emergency services. We were a wreck when our cat had kidney failure and they warned us we may need to give her IV fluids at home for life, but ever since her dialysis she's been fine for a few years now.
Man it’s been a ride getting a new cat and trying to get them to coexist, but damn does it feel rewarding when they finally tolerate each other (relatively) lol. We are still doing supervised sessions with them but feels good man
Speaking of animals getting along. My parents have had a cat and dog together for 3+ years and the last 6ish months they’ve finally really began to coexist and be buddies, as seen here. Cat exposing her belly this close to him is huge as I’m told that’s the biggest sign of trust and comfort a cat can give. But then 5 minutes later she’ll walk in the center of the living room or try to sit on a different couch cushion than usual and Stan will lose his shit and chase her out of the room lol
Since she hasn't made an appearance in a while, here is Suki living her best life and not giving a shit that she's got no eyes. And bonus goofy dog (Bojack).
This is my cousins dog Maggie but I wanted to share her story. My cousins neighbor was coming home when they saw someone throw out a garbage bag with something heavy in it and then drove off fast. He decided to stop and look and found sweet Maggie no more than a month old. They had just adopted a dog but knew my cousin had lost their dog a few months ago and thought they’d be interested. They were and now they have the sweetest dog ever and she has the best life a farm dog could ask for.
