1: Phil the day I brought him home about 3.5 years ago. He was an outside dog on a farm, had ticks all over him. His previous name was Boomer. 2: Phil’s Facebook profile photo if he was a 55 year old divorced guy 3: What I consider to be the least flattering photo of Phil I’ve ever taken, when he was INCREDIBLY stressed that I was packing up all of our stuff to move.
His name was Boomer, and as a member of this site, you changed it? Lmao just messing with you, he's adorable
Has anybody else been struggling to find wet cat food? Shelves are pretty much empty in multiple stores near me, with just individual cans of Friskies and 9Lives. Stressing me out because my cat has kidney issues and needs hydrating foods. Dry food won't cut it. I usually get meow mix and haven't seen any in weeks. I've tried Shaw's, Hannaford, and Walmart.
it might not be feasible cost wise or time wise, but I know people sometimes “make” their own dog/cat food. I know my parents mixed dry dog food with stuff so it was softer / had extra nutrients in it after their dogs had dental work done for a few weeks. They’d make huge batches of it every few days, not the most fun to make but we do what we do for our pets lol your vet may be able to give you an idea of what to mix dry foods with? I can’t remember if we used just water or milk as the main “mixing” component. It wasn’t a bunch of extra stuff, but it did the trick, not sure if that would be a solution though for kidney issues but maybe something to ask?
So my parents dog has a growth on his leg that the vet has always said was just a mole and/or an ingrown hair that caused a mole-like looking thing. It’s been there for maybe two years and hasn’t been an issue. But I swear it’s been getting bigger and now changing colors the last few days and Stanley has been constantly licking it from what my parents say. So maybe that’s why it’s red, but still weird that he’s suddenly focusing on it so much. so my mom called and made a vet appointment and the “earliest” date they had was fucking January 27th. Today she went there to pick up something for the cat and showed them the picture of the spot and how it’s getting bigger and how he’s obsessed with it and their first reaction was telling my mom to make him wear a cone until his appointment. lmao what dog is gonna wear a cone for two fucking months. Not Stanley I assure you. so she begged and pleaded and they were able to make an appointment for 12/14 but I just don’t get how that’s possible but glad he can get in sooner.
I think vet's are facing similar staffing issues to restaurants right now. My vet used to be super easy to get an appointment within a couple days of calling, but lately it's been 2-3 weeks.
The cat food I get is usually $6 for a 12 pack of individual plastic cups, but it's $20 on Amazon with no prime shipping lol. But yeah I've never checked out Chewy! I'll have to take a look. EDIT Darn, out of stock on Chewy! Lol. We'll just have to try something new for her. It's just really hard to find something low in carbohydrates
I love chewy. They have really good customer service. I wrote a review how my cat didn’t really care for a food I bought that I wanted him to like (gave it 3 stars), and they refunded me my money.
