Okay, so, here's my dog Lana (yes, after Lana from Smallville... don't judge): And here's my dog with her brother Max: One day a few years ago, one of them was somehow stuck in our backyard, so it was barking like crazy. We didn't know what to do, so we eventually opened the gate and let it out. About a week later, on Lunar New Year no less, when everyone in my extended family was at my house to celebrate, both of them came over and just started saying hi to everybody. At first, we tried to find their owners, but no one contacted us. Since we decided that keeping both of them would be too much to handle, I kept Lana and my cousin took Max to live with his family in San Diego. Since then, years later, both of them have gotten diabetes and gone blind and maybe even partly deaf in their old age. There was a time a few months back when Lana was really thin and weak and her neck was curved and she had trouble getting around and we seriously considered putting her down. But! She's healthy now, getting fatter, and still wags her tail whenever we come home from school/work. Still happy, still going strong. Edit: they're half Husky and half Labrador or German Shepherd depending on who you ask.
This is my best friend in the entire world. Her name is Zoey. Words can't describe how much she means to me and how much she's helped me. We're movie buddies, we're television buddies, we're backyard grill out buddies, we're music buddies, we're nap buddies, we're road trip buddies. A day doesn't go by that I'm not thankful for having her in my life. I love her with all my heart.
^ Very recently lost this guy. Had been my best bud for nearly 14 years. His name was Oliver. ^ She's our only cat now. We think she's around 3. She's a former feral who still has quite a feisty side, but is learning how to be a cuddler as well. Her name is Olivia. ^ This is our fairly new pup, and total pride-and-joy. She just turned 2 back in December, we rescued her last summer. Her name is Arya.
Thanks man, its never easy. Its been two weeks and I still find myself inadvertently looking around for him. Also, your image didn't work so please fix that... I wanna see dat pup!
I once worked with a girl who said she didn't get why people got so sad when their pets died. Total monster.
I have a dog. She is small and black. She likes to nap. Sometimes she sneezes a lot. Pictures incoming soon.
