Well sadly the window where her feeling would come back has gone. Though she’s completely healed from the surgery on her spine, and is doing awesome otherwise. Again the main issue is she can’t fully control her bladder, but expressing it isn’t too hard. So me, and my wife decided to take her home yesterday. We’re going to give it our best shot. I don’t think anyone really wants to be a special needs dog owner, but it’s like people keep telling me you don’t know what kind of issues your dog is going to have when you pick them. So yeah. Thanks again for the positive thoughts, and responses. It’s not the outcome we had hoped for, but we didn’t feel right putting her down without trying it out. Again she’s her usual self otherwise. We need to confine her to her kennel for a month to have her fully heal from surgery, but she really wants to start playing. We’re excited to fit her for wheels next month.
Please keep us updated and let us know if you ever need anything, @Cameron. I’m relieved to hear that she’s doing awesome aside from the obvious difficulties. Hopefully her zest for life gives her even more strength
@Cameron im so glad you get to take her home. Most people don’t envision being a special needs pet owner but I’d do exactly what you’re doing for your pet for my own pet, too.
My little lioness Binx picks out my work outfits in the AM. Or she’s wondering where the breakfast at?
Haha every day of course. Vet put this chonk on a diet last summer so she’s looking good for an 11 year old.
