How have I not posted my doggy yet?? This is my precious little Jaimie. She's a 12-year-old Beagle/Corgi mix. She loves walks and food (especially tuna and bread). We almost didn't get her. My mom went to the shelter but didn't look at her at first because my name is Jamie so she thought it would be weird to have a dog with the same name lol But she ended up getting her and we just got used to the name thing lol
Oh man. How have I not seen this thread? In March 2015, I adopted two kittens from the humane society as an impulsive way to deal with a breakup. Best decision I ever made. They're brother and sister. This is Bruce: And this is my baby, Maria:
I love them both to bits, but as a kid who grew up in a borderline foster home for animals and had anywhere between 5-10 cats and dogs at a time, Maria is the best companion I've ever had. Loves me to death, attached at my ankles, and the sweetest thing on earth. Even if she is dumb as rocks.
I think you're the first person who can see she's part Corgi! Everyone always sees the Beagle, I think because of her ears. But Corgis are my absolute fave. I would love to get one but my dog is too spoiled and wouldn't like having to share the attention lol
I wish it wasn't so dark. Dog was looking out the window and my son just went next to her and put his arm around her and both just stared out the window. It was the sweetest thing to watch and I'm so glad I got a picture of it.
So this is jinx, but I usually call her kitty. She was 6wks old in November when we got her. She's already so big! The second pic is the newest
I got a puppy this weekend and I have no idea what I did with my life before him he is so perfect and amazing and 18lbs at 12 weeks old and a big ol doofus.
Hey everyone. Just got my dog desexed today. Any tips for keeping him calm and occupied while he's recovering? He's a 5 month old Labrador x Boxer, very hyper at times
When we got our newest cat spayed she was calm for the rest of the day and tired. After that she was your as hell. Not really much we could do. Just let her be a cat. As long as she wasn't licking the stitches too much
Just make sure they don't like their stitches. Also if your dog is crate trained I would but my dog up for about 30 minutes if he wanted to get super crazy. It would allow him to calm down.
I adopted a puppy almost two months ago. Originally, I went through a blue heeler adoption agency because I wanted a one year old or older but when my roommates dog (another shelter guy) met one of the contenders, they didn't like each other at all. I knew from his past experiences that a puppy was probably all he would be able to accept. So I was scrolling through adoptable heelers in the Houston area and saw this guys sweet eyes and had to get him
