Haha. I think most people say the first 3 months are the hardest but let’s just say you will never be able to sleep in again.
Our daughter slept through the night for the first time this week — she’s 5 weeks now. Boom! Of course, the next night was back to normal. But she’s definitely getting closer to a normal schedule now which rules.
I know it isn't until tomorrow but Happy Mother's Day @awwgereee ! Also Happy Mother's Day to all the other SO, spouses, gf, etc. as well, make sure they feel special!
It's definitely harder on my wife with the baby's erratic sleep schedule. And he never seems to eat enough when breast feeding so we have to supplement.
At night she will sleep for 3-4 hours at a time. She’s usually asleep by 10pm and then gets up around 2 to eat.
Same with us, she went 6 hrs once and we were amazed hah. WeW tend to put her down about midnight and typically she'll go about 4-5 and I tend to just get up with her, feed her then go to work. Our son, we were lucky if he slept 2 hrs at a time, usually it was 45 min-1 1/2 hrs and he'd be ravenous. Truly miserable the first time around.
We just had to quit pumping earlier this week cuz my wife wasn't producing enough and couldn't keep up while being at home with a 2 1/2 year old too
We are going out for breakfast with my in laws in the morning, and then we have lunch at my grandma’s house with my mom’s whole family. I’m looking forward to it. Does your family still have plans with your MIL?
That sounds like fun. Yep, we are here now, got her around 11:00. Just put the lil one down so we can go get in the pool floor a bit. Staying the night here tonight and will likely get home tomorrow afternoon or evening. Thankfully it's only an hour drive so it's not too bad with missy in the car.
How the hell does anybody get anything done around the house with 2 kids, holy shit. @popdisaster00 does your nb actually sleep during the day without being held?
Dude our house is a mess right now haha. Our newborn will sleep in her rock n play for maybe an hour or two tops during the day. Typically she needs to be held to fall asleep. She was actually awake most of the day today. She just fell asleep 5 minutes ago after being up for like 8 hours. Yayyyy
