Hmm, is that a side effect?

It has no effect...just throwing that out there. Super easy, painless, I had virtually no recovery.

I thought I knew someone that told me that it wasn't as much, or wasn't as thick. He made it seem like after the procedure, he had wimpy loads. Haha, sorry this if this is gross for you all.

All I can say, is everything went back to 100% normal afterward...no scar, no swelling, the scar tissue stuck around as a lump for quite a while, but it was much less invasive than I expected. As for the 'other' conversation...no difference.

How was your recovery? I got it done this morning and my doc has been super casual about it all, like it’s no big deal. He told me I can return to work tomorrow and continue every day activities. He literally gave me no restrictions except avoid running, heavy lifting and sports for 5-7 days.

I’m pretty active so not being able to run sucks and pretty much everyone I’ve talked to says it’s more like 2 weeks for running/sports.

    Any advice?

I had no down time, literally none. I felt good enough to shoot hoops with my son the day after, and that did make me a bit sore, but that's it. I didn't take the valium either, and was super nervous, but it was such an easy procedure. Only advice would be to still hold back on anything super active for a couple weeks...the incision can appear healed, but underneath can get aggravated and prolong the swelling a little bit if you do too much.

Yeah, I’ve felt suspiciously OK since it happened (8 am). It’s been 3 1/2 hours and no real discomfort. I’m icing on/off 30 minutes. He prescribed me pain meds but said he doubt I’d need them and to only call it in if I feel I do. I took motrin when I got home. I drove there and back by myself.

I play full court b-ball 3x a week so figured I’d be out all this week and wondering if I can get back at all next week. My guess is maybe end of next week?

Did you get stitches? I got one.
What’s the deal with the scar tissue you mentioned? That kind of freaks me out.
Also, did you go to work the next day? Most people I talk to get it done on a Friday, but I couldn’t do any Fridays.

I think I aggravated mine a little when I played bball the next day, just slight discomfort. I had a hard little mass right underneath the incision, which I was told was just additional swelling concentrated to that spot (scar tissue was the wrong term to use) and it completely went away after a couple months. Not a discomfort or anything, but was the last thing to go back to its normal form. And yes, I had 1 stitch as well. If you get back to ball next week, just wear something tight haha.

We thought we were one and done but nope... now two and done (good thing we already had a van). Wife is pushing hard for snipping once the baby arrives later this month... pretty on board with it.
