I promise you it was much needed. thinking about you getting to J and her responding with dada is still making me smile
hahaha I have no idea why but she does it every time! "J" doesn't even sound like dada so I'm perplexed but hey I'll take it :)
My son is nearing 2 and a half, and we're now starting conversations about the eventual baby #2. Spooky.
My son who just turned 2 was running around the house last night saying 'The Witch is coming" Not gonna lie, kind of scared the shit out of my wife and I. He was really into Halloween this year and watched a lot of cartoons about Halloween, so I think it's just still on his mind. That, or we got a witch ghost in my house...
Update: Adding PJ Masks and The Lion Guard to my list of shows that I enjoy. I REALLY can't stand Nina Needs to Go though. Like seriously just force your child to try using the restroom! Stop teaching kids that their Grandma is gonna show up and jet pack them to a restroom!
My daughter is 5, so she's starting to drift more and more towards the bigger kid shows on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. My wife and I found ourselves watching a whole episode of Bunkd before we realized what we were doing haha. With baby #2 on the way I get to go through the whole cycle again, which is cool because I'm way more excited for the Muppet Babies reboot than I should probably admit.
Gavin found my old PS2 copy of Final Fantasy X yesterday and started playing it and he has no clue what he's doing but it's still adorable
Walt Disney World's twitter team sent my daughter a huge new (exclusive merch to that park) play castle for her birthday next month since I'm missing it due to this deployment. One of the raddest things ever that anyone could do and another reason why I love Disney so much.
My wife is 38 weeks pregnant with our first child. She had a ton of contractions yesterday, and I think it finally sank in that I am going to be a Dad within a couple weeks. It's a lot to wrap your head around
I don't think it sank in that I was a dad until I was waking up at 3 a.m. for feedings a few days after we brought home my son, haha. What they say is true, a mother becomes a mother when she first realizes she's pregnant and a father becomes a father when he first sees the baby. Congrats man. First few weeks will be tough and tiresome, but you'll get used to it.
Yeah I'm sure the amount of "sinking in" is nothing conspired to how I'll feel when I'm in the middle of it all!
congrats man! it really does take a bit of time to sink in, hard for it to feel real when you're not the one carrying around the baby every day.
