I could never coach a little kid sport. I coached middle/high school softball and volleyball and that was enough.
My wife assistant coaches baseball. It’s a lot and I have a lot of respect for her doing that and teaching. I dislike other children.
It happened so often where I would come to the school and the class wouldn't be in the room, no sign posted, no consistent schedule, so i would ask the main office where they were and the radio was "anyone got eyes on blue" and every "no" response drove me closer and closer to insanity
It was a very bad daycare. It was very clear they were still in the "getting our shit together" phase. It just wasn't very buttoned up or professional. Very stark contrast to where he's at now.
This is why I encouraged my daughter. I absolutely bombed out of sports.. massive anxiety over it. But funny enough.. I ended up being friends with some core basketball/football guys and were super tight to this day.. like our kids are now friends. My life would’ve been drastically different if I didn’t have that socialization.
How do you guys handle grandparents and holidays like Mother’s Day? My mother seems to be having a very hard time not being the main star of Mother’s Day despite this being year 4 lol
I just call my mom on Mother's Day, and she gets it. I already went overboard trying to get gifts for my wife this year from me and both kids
I’d like to say that’s Father’s Day for me, but they seem insistent on still making that day all about my dad lol
mother's day was difficult. we went on a family zoo trip with my side of the family, and everyone just wanted to spent time with our daughter because she's the first grandkid. meanwhile my wife just wants to spend time with the kid that made her a mother. it worked out in the end, just had to put my foot down with my mom on mother's day lol, but it's fine.
friends, share your child's orthodontic/dental experiences. Our four year old is getting expanders today for the top and bottom of her mouth. she also has to start wearing this at night :(
Dang, I’ve never seen that. I had a spacer in early elementary school and braces/rubber bands in high school. People always compliment my perfectly straight teeth now.
My 10 year old had a palette expander a couple years ago on the upper. She hated it so much and didn't eat for 2-3 days after it was installed. Will most likely need braces soon when she gets a little bit older. My 8 year old hasn't had anything yet but will most likely need braces at some point as her grown up teeth finish coming in.
Thankfully she only got the top expander put in today and she did great! The headgear is next month. Unfortunately she now doesn't want to eat anything much like @BlueEyesBrewing 's kid. We'll see how it goes lol
both my kids are only on their first set of teeth, but both had lip and tongue ties as babies and both have a bit of an overbite as of now. Dentist says its not a jaw overbite, or some shit, so it shouldn't be a big deal, but depending on the big teeth, could need an expander as well. Guess I'll see!!
