I think we’ve finally made it over the hump with our youngest as well! he’s been the worst at potty training
Spent the last week in Dallas with family and of course nearly the entire group tests positive for flu b two days into the trip except for myself and my son. Did our best to steer clear of everyone and stay healthy. We got home today and he starts sneezing and has a 100.5 fever. I’m doomed.
We had a great break and no one got sick... Woke up today for my wife and my first day back to work and our daughter wakes up with a 102 fever, so we make it work with her and WFH all day, only to have my son come home from daycare and start throwing up all night. I'm currently on his floor on barf duty in case he wakes up tonight.
Everyone is getting it. Two of my employees got it, and my wife got it BAD. Now I have a sinus thing and my oldest is getting it too me thinks.
My son brought home a nasty cold (as far as we could tell/test, it was just a cold) in mid-December and gave it to the rest of us. We were all in rough shape for that week. Thankfully the kids were back at full strength pretty quickly, but my wife and I have been on and off sick since then. We finally both went to the doctor over the weekend and have mild (me) to not-so-mild (her) bronchitis, so it has not been the most fun winter so far.
I was at a wedding in DC with family for NYE and my brother tested positive for COVID like two days later. I've been masking at work and home, but so far, everyone else on the trip is negative and has no symptoms. Miracle stuff.
Out 11-month old is having some...attachment issues, I think? He's really clingy, which is obviously normal for a baby to an extent and cute at times, but he gets upset most times we set him down or walk away unless it's his idea or he's doing his own thing. He wakes up once a night still, but instead of crying normally, he's been screaming bloody murder until we go in with a bottle. Last night, my wife and I spent 90 minutes trying to put him back in his crib before giving up and bringing him to bed. We're both averaging probably four hours of sleep for the past two nights, so we're pretty miserable.
Sickness during holidays sucks so much, sorry you’re dealing with that! Dallas proper or surrounding area? I was just in Weatherford this past week.
Both my wife and kids were sick for like 8 days and some how I avoided it. I woke up this morning to a fever and the rest. Cool stuff
Surrounding - Garland/Plano mainly. We did get out to Dino Valley to see the tracks and went to Arlington for the AEW show, but mostly hung out in the suburbs. confirmed he’s got flu b, but it’s early enough for tamiflu and his energy levels are fine. Luckily he’s off school for another week still.
Started playing Portal 2 co-op with my son this weekend and it’s been a joy getting to experience it with him. i think I’ve found something we can both enjoy without butting heads!
I don't normally pay attention that much but today they had the one on where they were moving and it got me a little misty eyed
Yeah that one definitely has big moments, especially the end when he takes down the sign and she tackle hugs him
Definitely Baby Race. Sleepytime also gets my ass. Off the top of my head those two, Onesies, Camping, Cricket, the last few seconds of Grandad, and The Sign have all gotten me at least misty
