My wife was a mess for our first one. She was on anti-nausea medication until the end and even had to be hospitalized at one point for dehydration. She had hydronrfrosis and could barely move. This time around has been completely different. There's still some time to go so things can obviously change, but so far it's been pretty mild whereas she was already having a lot of issues at this point.
Mine was perfectly fine as far as sickness goes, she never got sick, she worked on her feet every day, no complaining, but the mood thing is what got me. She would start fights over the most ridiculous things, and since I knew it was ridiculous, I just took it and let her get out her anger, but I wouldn't say anything back, as if she was looking for a fight, which escalated it even more. "Why aren't you saying anything?!" Well because you're yelling because I put the toilet seat lid down...
My ex was fine during pregnancy, she was just a rude person in general back then so it wasn't that different
Interesting, my wife wasn't like that at all she was pretty normal. Crazy how different women act when pregnancy hormones are raging! I'm enjoying all these stories though.
Wife got the baby blocker thing removed the other day... she's continued to push for me getting snipped when I get back from this deployment. It's messed up her hormones crazy over the last 3 years. Anyone here done that? I get out of running/doing PT for like a month or two, so there's that... but... still not sure about that procedure.
My daughter is such a picky eater and I never was. I can rarely get her to eat a vegetable besides broccoli. I try to make her try everything buy she puts up such a fight to even try it and if ages already decided she doesn't want to she'll say she didn't like it
Mine's a garbage truck, he'll eat anything. We give him tons of fruits and veggies (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, banana, peas, corn; to name a few); but he also eats sushi, crab dip, rice, and other things mom and dad eat. It's been great so far.
Sophie has turned into a sneaky snacker. For example, we were both napping the other day and she got up before me. She woke me up and when i went to the living room i discovered she had helped herself to a cookie and 3 fruit roll-ups. She is a good eater though. I can't think of anything that she is picky about eating.
This is a good reminder of how short my children are because I'm pretty sure my 2 year old is the exact same height hahaha
My son used to eat EVERYTHING but the last few months he's become pretty picky and hardly ever wants to eat. The pediatrician said that is normal because as they're growing, they eat a lot during a growth spurt, but once they hit a certain peak they'll tend to slow down on eating or not be as interested in food. Now he just wants to eat junk food and sweets. It's funny (and sad) because he'll go up to our pantry, pull out a stepping stool, grab a bag of chips, then go sit on the couch and start eating while watching TV like he's 18-years-old. He just turned 2...
My son's first birthday is today! I can't believe a year has gone by already. I get it now when people tell me it goes so fast. I put together a video for his birthday party we had this week so we could play it in the background and thought I'd leave it here (even though it's nearly twenty minutes long...my wife had a difficult time when I told her to restrict herself when choosing which videos and photos she wanted me to put in...and then I made it worse when I did the same). I love him so much.
Yeah did any of you guys have a birthday party for their 1st birthday? We aren't and I feel like everyone is judging us for it.
Well, my wife's family really wanted a party so they threw one for him on Sunday and it was this whole big thing (Star Wars themed). I'm glad it's over because it was actually pretty stressful for a one year old. Today my wife and I are just going to the cider mill and taking him on the little train they have built around the mill because he gets excited by it (and also because we love cider mills and cider and doughnuts and fall). It's a nice, quiet day. Don't let anyone judge you for how you're raising your kid! Edit: Per Star Wars themed birthday:
We did but it wasn't a big ordeal and it's definitely nothing to be judged over haha If it were up to me we probably wouldn't have done one honestly
For his ACTUAL birthday we took him to the Zoo. Then we had a baseball themed party that weekend but really it was more like a family get together than anything
