That’s a very good point! Thankfully I am meeting my boss and his wife so I won’t have to drive the whole way thankfully. how’s your son feeling about travel?
Oh that’s good! He’s excited! Thankfully he’s a good flyer and loves planes. Not nervous at all to be flying solo either! Now once he gets to his dad, he has very mixed emotions understandably. But they have a good and busy itinerary. And now this momma has to find things to do this week so I’m not a complete nervous wreck
First day back from paternity leave today. 1800 unread emails. Fortunately my boss rules and said "I'm going to pretend you're not actually back until next week."
Our youngest, who just turned 7 has taken to saying “Nah. Nah bro. Nah.” instead of no, and I can’t help it but it’s fucking funny every time.
Much better after the first couple nights. He seems to be having a good time and has been checking in often. Once the worry went down it admittedly was very nice to have some me time :). That being said, excited for the routine to be back.
My son was running overo ne of those high knees rope things at the playground yesterday with his friends and tripped and smashed his mouth on one of rhe ropes. They're pretty taunt and hard. He was bleeding pretty bad from his lip and his front tooth that had just gotten a little loose over the last week was knocked out. Has a scrape on his face too. He's already acting fine today but I feel so bad for him and his swollen little cheek/lip/face.
Our baby is now 5 weeks old (see picture). She was fine the first few weeks but in the past 4-5 days she has trouble sleeping at night. As soon as we put her in the crib/bassinet she immediately wakes up and starts moving erratically. If we are lucky and she is sleeping deepbthen she wakes up after 10-15 minutes and does the same. This happens at night ONLY. She sleeps and acts well during the day. We tried a bunch of stuff (making sure she's active during the day, making the room as dark and quiet as possible and more) but nothing works. She is yawning non stop but can't bring herself to sleep unless I hold her, and then she just pops back up once she is put in the crib. We also had a crazy experience a few days after she came home from the hospital that got her 5 nights at the hospital for nothing (crazy story, if anyone is interested I'll share).
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom Chorus FMers. We spent the weekend at a baseball tournament. All the boys signed a baseball and gave it to their mom, along with a rose. My son wore the Ma Ma eye black.
Joined the 2 kid club last week, baby sister is very loved and very small. Picking up my almost-3-year-old for the first time after coming back home was a SHOCK, he feels so massive now
