Welp, Milo failed nap time for daycare day #1 lol

 

Don't worry, I've heard Milo still goes to college #punkrockdadjokes

 

A factory blew up and is still on fire so pre school has been closed all week. Wild stuff

 

kyla sat up for the first time from laying down today while i was away… must have learned it at story time

 

the great solace in hard seasons of parenting (and the only let down in good seasons) is that nothing lasts forever.

 

God he hates daycare so much

 

Finally we decided the no pants/diaper method with our 3 yo. It’s……going ok

 

My nephew did that around 3 and it worked. They'll did a 3-day weekend and didn't leave home, I don't know the rest of the details.

Our 2.5 yo is showing a few signs but we aren't rushing to get to it, but I think we're probably getting closer to it

 

We did that with our first kid. House smelled like a god damn toilet but She was fully trained after the 3 day weekend.

 

Wife just left for a trip and won’t be back until Monday night so I’m parenting solo until then. I always feel the need to pack our schedule so we don’t get bored when she’s gone. Zoo tomorrow and maybe monster trucks on Sunday.

 

heck yeah monster trucks. always wanted to go. sounds like a killer weekend.

 

Bring noise cancelling headphones. The Monster Trucks show I went to when my kids were little was the loudest event I've ever been to (and this is coming from someone who's been to 500+ concerts).

 

This week flew by, can’t believe it’s already Friday. It’s been so nice to have work off and hang out with the mini-me. Dreading Monday so gotta make this last few days count! Weather permitting might venture into Boston tomorrow or Sunday so we’ll see!

 

smart move. always bring plugs to gigs now. it just isn't worth losing your hearing. especially for us music lovers on this site.

 

I can absolutely relate to packing the schedule when it's solo time

 

Yep. The key is tuckering them out as much as you can lol

 

when do they stop pooping 100 times per day

 

Haha I forgot when, but somewhere around like a year or so it tends to even out, but I honestly don't remember when..... just, at some point!

 

I promise you it's better than them not pooping enough

 

oh yeah. I will. My hearing is already too compromised

 

completely unrelated, but i am OBSESSED with the smell of my son's breath. it smells so sweet from all the milk. when i'm at work and i start missing him it's the first thing i think of.

 

Yeah, just wait until you've got to . . . enable . . . those poops.
