when i realized what time it was this morning i freaked out. it was much needed. his mom just got home from the hospital yesterday after being admitted since sunday for emergency gallbladder removal, and i’ve been running ragged trying to care for him and visit her. very grateful he let us both get quality rest.

 

I swear babies have intuition like that. Hoping for a quick recovery for his mom and some good rest for you.

 

My wife also had her gallbladder removed about a month after our first. Delivered via c-section. Must be something with childbirth and gall bladders

 

Frances last few teeth have been coming in and man I feel so bad for her, this is the crankiest she’s ever been

 

okay i keep meaning to ask people this... we have a nine month old and plenty of board books, but do y'all have any favorites that you read to your kids?

 

i forget the exact name but trucks go… and trains go… are great

 

the "You're My Little..." series is always a winner

 

Dropped the kiddo off at the nonsleepover sleepover! Now I have to force myself to stay up to midnight by binging some trash tv all night. Cheers!

honestly people are idiots here when it comes to driving and guns. Some truly terrible drivers here. And every idiot things just firing off a gun randomly is a perfectly acceptable way to pass the time. That being said I grew up on the bad sides of town and to this day still frequent those areas and I’ve never felt unsafe. I walk around the city a lot or bike at all hours of the night. There’s definitely crime and bad things but that’s anywhere these days.

We have loved all the Sandra Boynton stuff; Pajama Time, The Going To Bed Book, Moo Baa La La La. All bangers.

 

Barnyard Dance also rocks, I kinda hate the bellybutton one though

 

the boy is obsessed with the Mama Lama books and he hunts them down wherever they are in the house. I’m a big fan of I Am a Bunny

 

Forgot to grab the wife v day stuff. As I was taking the oldest home we swung by the store and I had him pick out a stuffy for her whilst I swooped on the flower/champagne display. Huge W for us both

we definitely have a llama llama book. i don’t think we have i am a bunny.

 

yeah that one is tracking towards memorized territory at this point.

finger puppet books, looks like… will have to sell these out. she like baby fox / baby mushroom so i bet you’re my little cuddlebug would be a hit

 

Nothing too exciting to report from the friend time, though I’m sure shenanigans ensued that were not shared with me lol. He told his pals that I wouldn’t let him sleep over which is cool, I don’t mind being the villain, but I dished it all out to the host mom. We’re actually becoming tight so that feels good to have a mom friend even though she is probably 10+ years older than me. Rambling. Chatty Kathy now. Thanks for listening!
