So on top of the 4 teeth my dude just sprouted 2 more at the bottom. Dudes gonna have a mouthful by the time he's 1
My son turns 2 in a few weeks. Any ideas for parties? I was thinking of just gathering at a local park because there's a kids swimming pool there and we can grill out and kids can play on the slides and stuff.
That's the way to go. We've done a few different things -- bounce house place, indoor playground, etc. and that was the simplest and also best in my opinion. (It's also the cheapest).
We did the in-laws yesterday so today we're going to see my dad and visit for a bit before heading over to my mom's to also grill out and swim.
Probably nothing special. My dad's working, we went over there on Friday night. I'm sure the daughter and I will go to the pool or the park or something
I'm sensing a theme here. Just took my boy swimming and we are definitely grilling out with family later today.
At the pool with my wife and daughter now, grilling while drinking some good beer later, and then watching Game 7 tonight. My dad is out of town, but if he was here he'd be doing all of that with me.
I had to work today but I'm going to take Sophie to the lake when I get home. After she goes to bed I'm going to watch basketball and Game of Thrones. Sucks being at work but it was pretty nice to be woken up with a new coffee cup and hand-made card.
We went to the O's game this afternoon. And then a family BBQ with my family and wife's family Lateran the evening.
Grilling and swimming at the state park was a success and now we're going to go there all the time probably. If only there were more people than just me and the daughter. Like a second parent, or at any rate another adult and maybe some friend kids
So all this week I did not get to see my son because I have been working on a film set with extremely long hours. I'd leave very early in the morning before he woke up and come home long after he had fallen asleep. My wife said he could tell something was off because he was being extra clingy with her. He's almost nine months and already pretty clearly a daddy's boy. Yesterday morning I sent her a video of me saying hello and I love you to him. She then sent me a video of him watching the video and getting so excited. Oh god it broke my heart. I finally got off work early yesterday and oh man the noises he made and the smile on his face when he saw me. I love my kid so much.
I've been off for a couple weeks now (I'm s teacher), but every morning when I go in to get her up I get this excited, "Daddy!" from her like she forgot it was going to be me. Best feeling in the world for sure!
Start 16 days of vacation tomorrow. DC, NYC, Boston, Cape Cod, Hershey during the trip... lots of good family time with the kid before heading off for a year. :/ I have like 5 photo sessions to edit with about 100 images or so to knock out before we head off on the trip on Tuesday, so until then I'm stuck at the computer to make sure I don't have to worry about galleries (side job) while out.
"Deploying" to Dubai/UAE. Wife found a groupon for a trip out there for about $1300 for airfare and hotel for 8 days, but doesn't think of bringing our almost four year old due to the location. I'm like, bring her! If there's Legoland it's gotta be safe, lol.
Still we sing with our heroes 33 rounds per minute We're never going home Until the sun says we're finished I'll love you forever If I ever love at all With wild hearts Blue jeans and white t-shirts
