Thoughts on taking my 4 year old to an outdoor show? She loves Dehd. Not sure if anyone has experience with taking their kid to a show and, if so, some tips or maybe some nightmare scenarios I'm not thinking of.
For sure. Planned on hearing protection. I like to overthink everything but, really, it's pretty low stakes. If she's just not feeling it we can simply leave.
That's how I've learned to approach doing things with my 4 year old son and it's cut down on my stress considerably. The other day we were getting ready to do go-karts and he told me he didn't want to do it after we had paid and were buckled. I said "okay, no problem", and we left. Better than potentially traumatizing him.
We're planning our first flight with milo early next year if anyone has tips on flying with a 1 year old.
Have a bottle or pacifier ready for takeoff and landing. Helps relieve the pressure change in their ears.
the one time we break our screen time rule and basically let her have as many snacks as possible lol need a carseat cover if you're bringing one so it doesn't get fucked while flying
We just did our first flights at 13 months. Key for us was lining them up with normal nap times, on both he slept about half and was awake the other half. Both were like, 2.5 hr. When awake it was just keeping him busy with snacks and toys, we tried a little Ms Rachel on the phone but he honestly didn't give a shit haha
One of you should board first with the stroller/car seat, that way they can hook it up and Milo can board at the very end later with the other parent and go straight into the car seat without a wait. Download shows in case the plane internet is out
hearing protection is your main concern. Then after that I would say a wagon or stroller if they're allowed in. Then think about a possible late nap so they can MAYBE stay awake a little while longer.
We went cheap and just did lap child. Probably would have been easier with a seat but we also did round two for basically pennies
There are certain car seats that are allowed to be brought onto the plane: https://www.flyingwithababy.com/faa...S_FOR_AIRPLANES_FAA_approved_Comparison_Chart Or save the extra money on the extra seat, and have him sit in your lap. Either way I would have one parent board at their normal time, and the other board with the last group. Edit: Bass Pro Shops has a pair of kids noise reducing headphones. They are designed for shooting, but we’ve taken Jameson to SeaWorld shows and the like, and he looks like he can’t hear shit lol
My 14 month old is very good at "more" right now, but not more..... of what. Personally has been the hardest part of parenting for me so far, to know he wants something, and thinks he's telling me, but I can't figure it out for him.
The stage where they know what they want but can't communicate it to you is definitely a frustrating time, but when they do start talking more it's super fun, so know there are better times ahead, haha.
Unfortunately our 19mo who was a very good eater and wasn’t picky is now picky as hell. He also now loves to say no lol
