We added formula into our 7-month old's diet last week. Still breastfeeding, but my wife is start to ween off a bit. He's sleeping pretty much all through the night with a bottle of formula before bed, otherwise he used to wake once or twice for a breastfeed. Anyone found formula helps bub sleep better? I know it's different for every kid, but just in general?
Our dude didn't breastfeed well at all so he's been formula since day 1, always was relatively good at night sleeps, bad at naps. Started sleeping through the night around 6 months though. No idea if formula-related haha.
it's supposed to help a bit! something about formula makes babies feel full for longer (versus breast milk).
Somebody tell that to my son. 16 months and still doesn’t sleep through the night. My oldest was like that too
I feel you friend. Our 18 month old has never slept well. He’s doing the best he’s ever done and it’s still rare for him to go without waking up at least once
Milo’s at the point now where he sporadically will get a whole night, but usually needs a quick diaper change and a pacifier hookup throughout the night. In and out in 3 mins and back to bed. It’s very tolerable compared to where he was haha
holly has been sleeping the full night two weeks now but i am concerned for the dreaded regression next month
I've mentioned this quite a bit, but neither one of my two kids ever slept through the night until they were around 2/2.5 when we finally switched them over to a real bed. Absolute gamechangers for both my kids.
Jameson will sleep through around 3 or 4 nights a week, outside of getting his 1 AMish feed. The hard part for us is he keeps changing up when he naturally goes to bed. Some weeks it is 6 PM, others have gone as late as 9 PM. Formula at night definitely helps, and I feel terrible, but he always sleeps better when my wife works overnight since he gets a fat bottle those nights, and knows mom isn’t there lol
They officially gave my wife the IUGR diagnosis since she’s still measuring about 2 weeks behind. Now she has to go weekly for non stress tests. Ugh. This whole thing has just been so anxiety inducing.
Sorry to hear as well. Definitely was scary when we had to be induced when my wife’s blood pressure spiked. It will be alright :)
Actually about to do that for the first time this Friday (TAYLOR SWIFT HERE WE COME). he's 11.5 months
We were forced to when my oldest was like 2 months old because my wife ended up in the hospital to get her gall bladder removed
Back in Feb I left the fam for 3 nights for work. Was only 3 hours away but it still felt like forever
My daughter is 4 and hasn’t spent a single night without me or her mom present. I’m definitely jealous of those that have parents or loved ones involved and close by.
Still haven't yet and we're 18 months in. My wife has spent a night away and so have I but never both at the same time. I'm totally comfortable with having my family watch her for a night, and I think my wife finally is too. We just haven't had the opportunity yet.
