nice, you're catching the last of the decent weather before the hellscape. we're in Clearwater and it's been nice this week.
The Best Baby Monitors for me personally, I never used a video monitor, gives me paranormal activity vibes their audio-only recommendation should be fine but there are some cool video ones there too!
Hey all! Parents in the hizzy We used the nanit cameras for both our kids. Decent quality audio and video right through the app on your smartphone, and there are tracking features which are interesting (and terrifying). My biggest issue with this choice would be if we were traveling at a hotel or something — these nanits don’t like certain wifi configurations. Plus there is wifi, which could have certain health risks for us all, let alone a newly developing brain. I tend not to worry too much about that given all of the other obvious health concerns that are often neglected. Anyways, first time posting in the parents thread, woot!
I have the Eufy space view one, it's pretty good and I like that it doesn't connect to the internet. One thing though is I wish it would light up when the baby makes noise. Sometimes when I'm working from home and out of earshot of her room I wish I could mute it and still know my daughter is awake. Not a deal breaker or anything but prob the only drawback.
We have the owlet camera. We like it but there have been a few times when we opened the app and the screen is just black with a spinning circle
we bought the cheapest one we could find and we've definitely paid the price for it. the range is crap and the battery is already dead so it has to be plugged in constantly. thinking about getting this eufy one. our neighbours 5 doors down and across the street have it and they've come over to our house on several occasions and brought their monitor and the range is no problem. it's pretty insane. and no internet, so no hackers. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07VGRCNHF/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_VZKFYG5S48Q4QNKEP00C
I know it's been a while since I've updated but Wednesday is the big day for Baby #4. If I recall correctly there are a few more of us in here with due dates coming up soon?? Also I may be in the minority but I genuinely love being in the hospital with a newborn.
A boy! My oldest and youngest will be Boys and I have 2 girls in the middle. 6 1/2, Almost 4, 2 1/2 and newborn.
Finally getting serious about poddy training our 3 y old. We’re doing the pantless method and it’s actually going really well
My son turns 8 in September and my daughter turns 5 in August. Can't believe it. My son is 'old' for his grade (1st grade) as we made the decision to hold him out of kindergarten until he was turning 6. We were going to do the same for my daughter, but we decided against it, so they'll be two grades apart as opposed to three. So she'll be young for her grade, but I was that kid too (August birthday). Gonna be wild when both of them are gone for the day, all day, five days a week.
Boy. We’ve had a poddy for him a year now and he occasionally goes on it. Though it’s just been so hard to have him use it consistently and we don’t want to force him to. So with him making accidents on his own he sees and has been going on it all by himself now. We’ll see how it progresses
Best of luck! I remember we started to potty train my son right around 2 1/2 and he got sick with the flu during it and it set us back a good few weeks. He was potty trained by 3 (preschool he goes to won't let kids in who aren't potty-trained) BUT he peed the bed on a pretty consistent basis until like...a year ago. My daughter is 4 and barely ever pees the bed and she's been sleeping in underwear for nearly 2 years now. Crazy how different the experiences can be.
