I like the Holly Gibney character. Now that there are more pieces on the table, I'm interested to find out who/what this mysterious antagonist is and how the pieces fit together.
'I have no tolerance for the unexplainable' I normally don't either, but so far, I'm willing to suspend belief as to how weird this is going to get. I just hope it doesn't get sloppy because thus far, it's been great.
Having not read the book or knowing anything about Holly Gibney, her introduction felt like a character out of a CBS procedural, where one of the detectives has to have some type of disorder that works in their favor. But since Cynthia Erivo is such a great actor, I was won over by her by the end. I'm digging the show, especially as it seems to maybe going towards an "X-Files" route.
They went a little overboard with Holly Gibney. She's a little weird and eccentric in the book, but that's about it. She's not freakin Good Will Hunting.
Just a request to try and get in front of potential issues: If people are using the spoiler tags, can you specify if the spoilers are for the episodes that have already aired versus what happens in the book that hasn’t happened in an episode yet? I’m sure lots of people are like me here that they’re watching the episodes the night they air but haven’t read the book yet.
Have you read all the others with her in it? Or even Mr Mercedes’ version? I thought this was pretty well done.
I think after episode airs, spoilers for that episode don't need tags, but until season is done, book spoilers should be tagged.
Agreed. I’m gonna try to avoid any spoiler tags I guess unless they specifically state that it’s not stuff from the book.
